This was a true downtown Madison experience! A little small and not super fancy but the food and service were top tier! Best mole I have ever had and the owners mom still makes it! Queso was so unique and yummy! Chicken Mole and 3 taco meal so amazingly delicious! The fish taco is a new obsession! Prickly pear margaritas were really tasty! Even the fried ice cream had special touches that make it special! A must go to and definitely make a reservation.

The place is pretty. Yes very Instagram-ish. Located on King street makes this place popular. The food was okay, like others said the food looks pretty good! My breakfast burrito was cooked well but could have used just a pitch of flavor. It was cold inside, the server was also a little indifferent. This was our second time there- we want to like it, but it’s missing flavor and warmth ❤️✌ both figuratively and literally. The rice was good hence the four stars ✨

Tacos and drinks were both superb. Big portion of food and the drinks weren’t watered down. Every time I visit the city I’ll drop by this place. It was kind of hard to find via Google maps, but it’s right across from The Majestic theater. I sat outside (five tables) and enjoyed a nice evening. Staff was fabulous.

I loved Jalisco Restaurant; ambience, food, service! As a Mexican native my expectations for Mexican food are always high…well, I’m happy to say that Jalisco didn’t disappoint; food and cocktails were delicious!
Also as a solo traveler, I often don’t receive the best service, I either get forgotten or neglected as a costumer, but here in Jalisco, Ella provided me with excellent service, gave recommendations, food and drinks were delivered promptly and accurately and she kept checking on me. I’ll definitely coming back to Jalisco!

Really impressed with our experience overall here! Our waiter was warm and very kind (I wish I could have gotten his name to give him a shout out)! Food & drinks were excellent, and prices were great. The atmosphere/ambiance felt higher end, so paying what we did for a few drinks and meals was a pleasant surprise! I had tacos, my fiancé had a surf & turf burrito, both were excellent. Highly recommend!!

Got the birria melt and mini empanadas to go. I know the melt would have been better in a dine-in setting. The empanadas were crispy but the filling lacked flavor. The place appeared to have a cool atmosphere and the service, though limited, was friendly.

I had the Burrito Bowl with Chorizo, very tasty and the chorizo was some of the best I’ve had. My wife had the pork and beef combo plate with beans and rice, she liked it as it wasn’t too spicy. Their red sauce has a nice amount of heat to it, corn tortilla chips were really great. Excellent prices and Danny our waiter was super….highly recommend!!

Stopped by at the end of happy hour to check out dinner and drinks. Sat by the window and had a view of King St festivities and the capital. Had the shrimp fajitas and birra tacos. The fajitas were a good portion size and flavorful. The tacos were good as well. Would recommend for Mexican food in downtown Madison.
