I’ll never understand the reviews for this place and their breakfast burrito. For almost $10 (added beans) I would think I’d get a larger burrito with more meat and more flavor. I’ve had plenty of breakfast burritos through the years, And this is nowhere near the top of the rankings. I thought I’d give it another try after a couple years and unfortunately I was disappointed again.

Never eaten inside but even after not having a breakfast burrito here in years, I had one the other day and realized they are the standard I compare every other breakfast burrito, to.

Always love a stop in at Jalapeño’s, figured I’d post some snaps of their current menu! Keep being awesome!

Food is really good. Only gave 4 star for the simple reason the burritos seemed a tad small. But they were delicious. The drive thru service was very good, not a long wait at all considering your ordering sit down food. I highly recommend this place.

First time trying Jalapeños, and I threw out most of my meal. I got 2 soft shredded beef tacos, that were so soggy the were inedible. I also got some chips and salsa.. here’s the odd part.. the salsa had a jello like consistency. Never seen anything like that, my sour cream smelled like it expired 2 years ago. The only thing that was safe to consume was my tortilla chips.
I’m not one to complain, but this was just horrible. I gave 3 stars for service because the girl taking orders was sweet. I will absolutely never go here again… who has salad that’s the same consistency of jello?

Every time I place a order I build my own breakfast burrito. Every time they prepare my order wrong. I’m usually specific when I say no eggs in my order.

Went to this restaurant the other day with my daughter, we were originally waiting for our food from the restaurant a few doors down. I have seen this place a few times being that I’m new to the area so we finally decided to stop in since I was right there just for the hell of it. I ordered the flautas and Eloté cup, when I got the food the presentation was awful, they had a Mexican woman working the counter so assumed it was authentic Mexican food but that wasn’t the case. As a Latina woman I was a little insulted by it but anyways I grabbed the food and they had tortilla chips in the refried beans I’m assuming to eat as a dip? The rice was not cooked well at all very tasteless and just not prepared correctly and the flautas alone hardly had any meat. I took it back to the counter and told them I didn’t want it and the first Caucasian lady was like we thought you weren’t going to like it, and then the other woman I’m assuming was the owner asked what was wrong with it, pretty snotty I might add and I bluntly said it’s nasty. Then she proceeds to say it’s not nasty you just don’t want to pay for it. LOL I clearly already paid for it so that wasn’t the issue. I just responded that I’m a Mexican and that is not Mexican food. Then she says well I been here for thirty years, I didn’t even respond back because at that point I didn’t care what she was saying I just wanted a refund for the flautas. She went into the register to refund me and slammed the money on the counter with an attitude but I didn’t care about that either lol it’s not my fault the food wasn’t up to par and I she wasn’t about to make me feel bad for not wanting to pay for bad food. I came here as a sous chef in East Lansing (current career) and I’m a culinary graduate, and a member the American culinary federation and have state certifications in hospitality management. lol I would say I’m pretty qualified to call out bad food as I see it lol no shade it’s just the truth. Needless to say we will never go back there.
