Overall this a good spot for a quick bite! The food is good, service is good and drinks were good. I got the nachos and a margarita. A combo you can’t go wrong with! It’s small inside so it’s better for smaller groupings.

I’m a born-and-raised Texan, so I grew up around incredible Mexican food. I just moved to Richmond and have been obsessing over finding truly authentic Mexican, and this is the place.
I ordered the birria tacos and they were a blast of flavor, spice, and everything NICE. We ordered dinner at 8:00 PM on Thanksgiving and the service was still fast and friendly.
Have I mentioned the food is amazing? Because it is.

If fresh ingredients is your concern you need not worry here. I had the huevos rancheros and the ranchero sauce was delicious. My only complaint was being left wanting more. Let me not forget to mention the awesome and attentive staff. They really made the place feel warm and welcoming. Side note: I really enjoyed the background music

My daughter and I decided to take a drive to Richmond to check out the area. After driving around we stumbled upon the Carytown neighborhood. it’s a really cool place to spend some time. We decided to get something to eat and my daughter wanted Mexican. We stopped at the Jalapenos Mexican grill. It’s small but has a really cool vibe. They started with free chips and salsa. That’s always a good sign. The chips were fresh and crunchy. The salsa tangy and a little Smokey . She ordered Quesabirra which is shredded beef and cheese. It was moist and tender but it’s all meat so it will be heavy on your stomach best to share this meal. I ordered the burrito and enchiladas combo it was Moist and delicious the re-fried beans were very creamy and smooth. though a very good meal it was not very filling. A very good and reasonable place to stop for a taste of Mexico.

wonderful cantina style mexican restaurant. excellent, caring service. the waitress even helped me box up my leftovers. I suffered a bit of sticker shock for the $10 guac, but everything else was fair priced. [is there *ANYWHERE* that doesn’t charge $3 for sodas anymore?] entrees were delicious and plentiful. #theworkofthepeople!

Asombrosa! This is probably my new favorite Mexican Joint! If you follow me at all you know I am do not like a breaded Chile Relleno and there has only been 1 place in Richmond that does it. BAM! I found another, but then they knocked it up a knotch, you can pick a beef, cheese or chicken one.. WHAT?! I never even knew they even had those options…so yeah pretty stoked about it. Our waitress even recognized me as a regular from the other place, once she said something I realized she used to wait on my at the old place. All the food was really good. My daughter got carnitas and I pick a little bit, very moist and tasty. I got a beef Chile Relleno and it was fantástico. Not a very big place. 4-5 booths and a small bar to sit at. Great Service, pretty quick food and very flavorful. Would highly recommend.

Came for the margaritas after strolling around Carytown. Ordered the Passion Fruit Margarita and the Mango Margarita. Both were very weak but sweet. Had to order shots to add to the drinks.
Fast and friendly service. Clean bar. Good traditional Mexican music playing. One TV on for entertainment.
Might be back to try the food but was somewhat disappointed in the drinks.

I will let the pictures talk. Our server was so nice and friendly!! And to the guys in the back that made out food!! DELISH!! I been to alot of Mexican places but this is my top 1!! I wanna go again….and I might do that! Just thinking bout it makes my mouth water . Our food came out smoking hot. Had to wait a min so it can cool down. The Quesobirria(for give me if I spelled it wrong) the meat was soooooooooo juice and tender. And that piece of FAT! The dripping sauce was sooo good, I drunk the rest

Mi Familia! Warm, professional and inviting staff. Irma and Stephanie are the best duo ever. They work alongside each other so effortlessly. The food is awesome and made with love from the guys in the kitchen…the drinks are top notch! Cozy and warm vibes with positive attitudes and great work ethics. They pay attention to their customers and are always near to provide exceptional service! At this point I’m addicted to this place!

Amazing quesadilla with steak! Extra cheese! And a soda! Flavor was great! People were super nice even though the day had just winded down from Watermelon festival. Seemed like a family or at least they were working like a team.
