Delicious and great service. What more could you want? Trio enchiladas were great, mole enchilada was the best of the three. Go here.

This place is trash. I ordered my food and waited 45 minutes while watching the entire dining room, all of whom arrived after i did, recieve thier orders. I spoke with the manager who really didn’t seem to care about it and left. Would not recommend.

Update: They revamped their menu and I love it. Do great service always look forward to eating here. My new favorite menu item is a Veggie Bowl.
We come here with the family. The kids general get items off the kids menu and they really love the complimentary beans and chips. I like their veggie burrito (off menu) while the veggie wrap is a good menu alternative. Servers are always nice and helpful. FYI they charge a convenience fee for credit cards, so bring cash. This is home cooking at a great price so give yourself some time. This is our favourite Mexican restaurant!

Wow! There is a lot of good, home-made tasting, authentic Mexican food in Texas, but Jalapeño’s is a cut above. The freshest food served by friendly staff, and the variety – you have to try them! I can tell you, you won’t regret it.
I enjoyed Cozumel Salmon on toasted sweet corn and peppers with a lime cream sauce – it came with two tostadas. Perfection!

Was wanting some enchiladas on my drive back to Houston from Corpus. I am not a fan of enchiladas with gravy. I prefer the chile sauce. A quick Google search told me they had some. they bring you chips, salsa, and beans to snack on. I like when they bring you something other than just salsa. I ordered the “Enchilada Potosinas”. Two corn tortillas filled with Mexican cheese, covered with roasted Guajilllo. Topped with Mexican cheese, sliced avocado, and sour cream. Came with rice and beans. A cantaloupe agua fresca to drink. All had great flavor. The enchiladas bordered on being burned. Not too bad, close. The staff was really nice and kept checking up on me.

New favorite spot in El Campo!
Common knowledge tells us to find the restaurant where all of the cars are, and this is where we found them.
We visited on a Sunday evening, and a buffet was being offered. I’m not normally one to get the buffet, but there was more on this one than cheese enchiladas with rice and beans, so I decided to give it a go.
The thing that struck me most was the variety of dishes and that everything didn’t taste the same.
Steamed clams, Chicken Mole, Carne Guisada and a Quesadilla made with a sweet batter like a pancake.
It wasn’t until we were paying our bill that we were told that the buffet was only being served because they were celebrating their 5 year anniversary.
We are disappointed that there won’t be a buffet the next time we visit. But super excited to find this great place, just a block off 71 in the heart of town.
