Fantastic Footlong Hot Dog!! The Chile has a wonderful meaty taste, great accompaniment for the dog. Service was fast, friendly, and with a smile . Menu looked extensively homey! I can see why they have been around since 1945! Will return for a dinner experience.

Great little restaurant, parking is tight, ( especially in back) but food was well worth it. Had the triple club, they bring you a ton of fries , next time will definitely try a footlong hot dog, lots of locals eat here seems like. Small dining area but the food is delicious.

First time eating here. I had the Greek burger which was on point. They do give you butt load of fries . Next time just one order instead of 2 lol. My wife and can share ☺️. The only hang up I have They accept cash only, praise God they had an ATM in the back.

In the mood for a tasty hotdog, from a local restaurant, looked up & went to best rated, it was worth the 30 drive time. Had their Famous Foot long. Delicious, the chili, perfect amount of toppings. I did not have fries.

In 2023, this establishment still doesn’t accept cards and directs you to a sketchy looking ATM in the back on the dining side. I haven’t been here in 10 years and nothing has changed. Food was good when I had it 10 years ago, but paying an atm fee to buy a hot dog is insane and unnecessary. Also, parking is a nightmare.

Delicious food and wonderful service. Love the old school burger and dog joints! Beware this place only accepts cash, wasn’t posted when we went. Wouldn’t have changed anything accept would have come prepared instead of having to pay ATM fees. Definitely worth checking out though!

A Charlottesville institution since I went to UVA in the 80s. A must if you’re in town. Try the foot long hot dog with chili & onions. The Greek salad is also excellent. I would have given it 5 stars but they don’t take credit cards. I had to use an expensive ATM to get the money I need it for my meal. Make sure you have cash with you. Some of the Charlottesville institutions have been closing down recently. E.g. Little John’s. Support this iconic spot.

Great place to stop off for a quick bite that’s moderately priced. Fun traditional photos adorn the dining space. Take-Out window is convenient, apart from dining in. Try the fish for a bargain.
