I ordered a cheese steak with lettuce, tomato, and mayo, but no mayo and the staff responded. I ordered the food around 10pm and put it in an insulated bag and the food was still adequately warm at midnight in Oakland. I tell you, whatever they’re cooking in the Mission is gonna be hot by the time it gets to your place in San Francisco. Buen Provecho. Los trabajadores son hustlers. Buen hecho.

I ride my bike down Valencia weekly and have always wanted to give this place a try. For lunch, it was a one man show so it took like 25 minutes for my order to be ready. I got the cheese steak combo with fries and a drink. The cheese steak was severely underwhelming and bland. The roll itself also felt really small compared to other places in the city and especially for its price. The waffle fries were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was just lacking salt and pepper but an easy fix. Overall, I don’t think I would come back unless I was in the area wanting a sandwich. Maybe I’ll try something else on the menu next time.

My boyfriend and I had just got into SF, starving and ready to GRUB. We stumbled upon Jake’s steaks and were instantly intrigued— considering we love cheesesteaks. Greeted instantly by one of the staff members with a warm welcome, we got quick to ordering.
I got the classic cheeseteak with spicy peppers added and my boyfriend ordered the BBQ cheesesteak. Along with a side of curly fries. Everything came out HOT and melty.
The food is AMAZING, the staff is even better. This was a wonderful and random choice my boyfriend and I made and we will definitely be back again!!! Thank you guys!!!

Kinda quite lonely place when we walked inside. Casher guy was kinda friendly. We got the regular cheesesteak and I have eat them all across the us and also we sold them for many years. I will say it wasn’t the greatest sandwich. I wouldn’t try it again but the garlic fries were great. Place kinda had a bad smell inside as well.

The burger I just ate was delicious those caramelized onions and egg were just as soft as the bun, remarkably so.
