We’ve given Jake’s Pizza more than enough chances, and we’re officially done. We always order our pizza with extra-crispy crust, yet almost every time it arrives so soggy it’s inedible. Not just soft — literally limp and wet, to the point you can’t even pick up a slice without the crust breaking apart. Paper mache is honestly the best way to describe it.
Only twice out of all the times we’ve ordered has the crust been cooked correctly (so we know they’re capable of doing it.) At this point it just feels like carelessness with our requests.
This last order was the final straw. We called, not to ask for a refund or a replacement, but simply to share our disappointment in the service and quality. The response we got was a flat, almost dismissive: “Ok, you don’t a new one or for us to fix it, so we’re sorry, we’ll tell the kitchen.”
That half-hearted response to a customers feed back was as disappointing as the pizza. We won’t be ordering from Jake’s again. If you expect your pizza to be cooked the way you ask, and/or to be treated like your feedback matters, look elsewhere!

We ordered from DoorDash and our son ordered the gyro sandwich. However, the sandwich description on the DoorDash menu describes a beef sandwich. I called the restaurant to try and resolve it and the manager literally said “I don’t want to talk to you anymore” and hung up. AMAZING service! Avoid at all costs!!!!!!!!

I’ve been coming to Jake’s Pizza for years their Pizza has always stayed consistent always good Taste! Thin or thick crust pizza always available in the Pizza warmers. Even if it’s a lunch rush and you think it’s crowded they go through the people real fast and get you in and out well worth stopping! Located right next to the UPS Store.

I was ready to walk in there and give a 5 star review because this is one of the very very few places that open late in Northbrook. Last time my husband picked up a Caesar salad and Italia beef sandwich and it was pretty good. We decided to come back this time and dine in. We ordered a burrito and a slice of pizza. I wanted some water but they only have bottled water. I looked in the fridge and there’s no zero sugar no caffeine drink, so we had them to go instead and eat at home. The burrito was good but pizza was not the best. I think it’s been sitting there a little too long. However, both item plus tax cost only around $10.

It is a nice place, confortable. They sell different type of pizzas, you can dine in or buy to go. You can also buy your pizza for pickup, they do catering, it is a small business but they have all kind of services to be a good business. The flavor of the pizza is one of the best that I have tested, I could say that it very similar to the pizzas that I tried in New York City, ¡awesome!. The place has different tables, regulars, high tables and a kind of bar, it also have a TV so, you can see your favorite TV program enjoying your meal. The staff is bilingual, they speak English and Spanish in case you need it. There is a good parking to enjoy your pizza while your car is safe. The pizza is always warm and with a good taste, you won’t regret to go to this place and enjoy this wonderful place and pizza. Normally this place is not crowded so you can go there and be attended really very fast. My personal suggestion on pizza is three meats or beef. You can also buy soda to drink with your food, d not hesitate to visit this place.

Mexican pizzeria that tries to mix the best of both styles. The pizzeria is not very large, but it can hold about 25 patrons before it gets too cozy for comfort. I saw a lot of people order tacos and pizza slices, and I went with the pork burrito.
They filled this burrito out! I usually find Mexican fast food places where they like to tout them as a this chonker that needs two hands to hold but ends up fitting between my tiny hands but this one is pretty darn thick. You could probably fit 3-4 bites by width on one of these.
Their condiments unfortunately don’t really complement the burrito well. The green one had a lingering spice, and the red/brown one just didn’t taste right, like it felt like it was left in the fridge for a little too long kind of sauce.
Service was adequate. It seemed like today was a little more than expected which seemed a little slower, but dishes were still being handed out at a relatively quick pace.
