I really enjoyed dinner here, the calamari appetizer was especially delicious and the same with the carrot cake. The fresh bread and maple butter were a great addition to the meal as well. They’re starting a new menu on 3/31/23 and I’m excited to try that!

This is our “go-to” dinner restaurant as locals. I love that they support local food growers and whatever I order comes out delicious! This week I treated myself to one of their seasonal cocktails. Portions are a decent size and if you’re not a huge eater leaves enough leftovers for a small lunch. The wait staff is well trained. We sat on one of the outdoor picnic tables and even with the extra hike to or table the staff was friendly and prompt. Another lovely experience!

The service was lovely, very hospitable, patient and helpful. The food left much to be desired. At best, lukewarm and unremarkable. Used to love coming to Jake’s to escape the usual fare in town but it’s now just like the rest. The prices have leveled out a bit, which is appreciated, but the quality has not. I want to believe that just brunch is mediocre.

Gluten-free cauliflower pizza here is excellent. The beet salad was fresh was also very tasty. We made reservations for 5 pm on Monday and got our pick of all the waterside tables. It got busier as we were leaving around 6:15. If you don’t mind paying a bit more, this is a lovely spot to go when the weather is nice. Call ahead.

I’ve been to Jake’s a few times at various times throughout the year over the last few years. I’ve never had a bad meal. The atmosphere is welcoming and the deck is amazing. Service during my last few visits since the pandemic has been outstanding. Many places are suffering from poor quality staffing. Not Jakes. Everyone there is top notch that I’ve experienced.
