Pros: friendly servers and a big space that isn’t too loud.
Cons: literally EVERYTHING else.
We ordered the fried “mac and cheese bites” and I was genuinely confused. They were just massive cheese balls—no noodles anywhere—and still cold in the middle??
We were planning to stay for dinner but dipped after that. Also… I know this is just a lot of microwave frozen food. Charging $10 for frozen mini corn dogs is wild. The price vs. quality gap here is crazy.
Maybe a decent place for drinks but definitely not a good food spot.

For the first time going i must say the atmosphere was decent, the service was very good as well. I had wings and fried pickles. Really loved the pickles as the wings could us some seasoning. I also was able to try the Mac and cheese bits. They were delicious. Surely will be going back soon

Good service and atmosphere. Appetizer fries were great. Breaded Tenderloin on the other hand left a lot to be desired. Definitely tasted like egg wash and flour with absolutely no seasoning. The wife had the “jerk” chicken and it just tasted like barbecue sauce. They get 2 stars from me because their 32 oz beer cups are awesome!

Went to Jake’s for the first time tonight. I had never experienced the old restaurant so I wasn’t sure what to expect. It took approximately 10 minutes for a server to come to our table and take our drink order. Received a mixed drink before ever receiving a Coke. We ordered the crab rangoons, and they were probably the best thing we had. Ordered a burger and the waitress has to clarify which burger, even though there’s only one on the menu. Burger toppings were messed up. Side of fries with the burger were okay, to put it nicely. They tasted like straight potato, no seasoning whatsoever. Order a Cesar salad, which had no croutons on it. It was severely overdressed. Lettuce was already soggy because of the amount of dressing. Also ordered a side of fries with the salad, and they were not crunchy at all. You could tell they were frozen fries that did not have enough time in the fryer. Music was entirely too loud. Staff was not friendly. Only giving 1 star because I can’t give less than that.

Went there Tuesday for the 1st time since it moved from West Lafayette. Love the atmosphere. Red was bartending and he makes the best margaritas! (Black raspberry) He was very friendly and knew the answers to all our questions! He provides the quality of service that is very rare today. So sit at the bar if he is working. Tenderloins were amazing.

We had high hopes for this place. They didn’t have much knowledge of the bourbons in stock. No Maker’s, which seems odd for a bar not to have. It seemed like the computer system still has some kinks to work out. They were unsure of prices for other bourbons. We ordered the trash can nachos and chicken quesadilla. The nachos were smothered in nacho cheese and served out of a bottomless Folger’s-looking can. Messy and not much meat. The chicken quesadilla was the worst. There is no way the chicken is grilled. It looked like a frozen bag of “grilled” chicken strips. Chewy and unappetizing. We took two bites and were done. The server was nice and tried their best.

We had really high hopes this Jake’s, but this was the worst food we’ve had at a “new” spot….
Vegetarian options on online menu were pizza, calzone, or Stromboli. Upon arrival, that entire side of the menu had been sharpied out and we were told they didn’t have an oven because they moved it to a new location rather than just…. Buying a new oven. Okay whatever, instead ordered a meat pasta without the meat. 5 minutes after ordering the server comes back and oh! They’re out of pasta. Ordered a veggie quesadilla appetizer instead. Finally comes out, uncooked veggies inside a floppy greasy tortilla. Had 3 bites and then had to tell the server it was inedible (have never sent food back).
Rest of the group gets onion rings as their side. 5 minutes after the vegetarian ordering fiasco, what do you know they’re also out of onion rings.
After this entire disaster of a meal, and the best they could do is offer a “discount” on the quesadilla. What was the discount you ask? Not sure, asked for a receipt that never came. Not a single person from management or the kitchen came to try and make anything right after voicing all of our concerns very politely. 0/10 disappointed and will not be returning. $4 jumbo margaritas on the days are the only great thing about this place.

Have been going there for several months to get their Tuesday special, $4 margaritas and $6 tenderloins. Enjoyed going there instead of taco Tuesday else where, tonight went there and the server told us the only specials were $5 margaritas. Well sorry but moving on, and back to taco Tuesday places. Too bad we enjoyed the place.

I’ve been here four times now, always during the week over lunch, and every visit has been completely different. Unfortunately, only the first experience was good. The food, the service, the overall quality, everything hit the mark that first time. Every visit since then has been downhill.
There are major consistency issues. Every single time I’ve come in, they’re out of multiple items. On one visit, they couldn’t make the sandwich I wanted because they were missing ingredients and the service was flat-out horrible. This most recent visit was even worse. They couldn’t make anything that required the oven. No oven sandwiches, no pizzas, nothing. No explanation, just “we can’t do it.”
So I had to order something else and went with the Philly cheesesteak, the same thing I ordered last time. This time, it was a totally different sandwich. Overcooked, barely any vegetables, and I mean barely, three tiny pieces green pepper. To make things worse, they didn’t include the au jus. When I asked for it, I was told they were out. How does that even happen, or at least communicated when I ordered.
No apology, no discount, nothing. Just a dry, poorly cooked, incomplete meal at nearly $20 per person.
At this point, the only thing they seem to do consistently is fry food, and even that isn’t enough to make up for the rest. A 25% success rate over four visits says it all. It’s a lost cause at this point.

Got the BBQ pulled pork mac n cheese. Huge portiin for $11. Not very tender pork and noodles were overcooked. Pretty bland. Won’t get again.
