I’m not someone to leave a review. I’ve been going to Jake’s Jim town for probably a year now. The consistency of the food is the same every time I’ve gotten the hamburgers. They’re probably one of my favorites. I typically don’t order a burger at any bar, in fact, any restaurant because I can always make a better one at home. I look forward to driving an hour to get the best bar food by far that I’ve ever eaten. Also the gyros are awesome!

We’re fortunate to live nearby so Jake’s Jim town has become a staple stop anytime we think about eating out. The delicious big burgers are the main attraction. I usually go for either the Popple popper burger or the John Wayne. Virtually every time I’ve been there it’s nice to see Jake the owner who is working hard as well as his great staff, all very friendly. Pretty much this place has that perfect Wisconsin dive bar feel!

Was not impressed. If you like your burgers 2 in thick kicking and screaming then this is probably the place for you. I do not and I specifically ask if they could do it well done because I don’t like pink meat and they completely ignored my request and gave me a burger that was still bleeding. The people were nice and the cheese curds were good but the only reason I went there was for the food and I had to chuck the entire burger out the window for the animals. If you are unwilling to cook to your customers specifications then you should just say that so we can find another establishment instead of wasting our money.

I have to give Jake’s 5 star’s. And I rarely give any place 5 stars. The burgers are large and cooked perfectly. We also had onion rings. I don’t know if they were made on site but they were fantastic. My wife had a 1919 root beer from tap. The beer is cold and plentiful. Friendly staff and the food came up fast. I highly recommend this place. Go check them out have a beer, Have a burger and enjoy your time there.
