The food here was very good, especially the bacon ranch chicken wrap!! Depending on the bartender, service was either good or bad. Same goes for the atmosphere. During the day its fine, but at night no one knows how to behave and I would not recommend going here if you arent local. When we walked in on our first night staying in the area, random strangers commented stuff like “oh look the party just arrived” and so on. Who I assumed was the owner also went on and on about the current president over the mic. We were nervous having to go to the bathroom and going past people, not knowing if they will start trouble.

I hosted a 60th Birthday Party yesterday in Jake’s private front room / large enough for our 50 guests. We served wings, baked ziti, chicken cutlets, chicken marinara, scalloped potatoes, and salad. Everyone enjoyed the food, the lakefront view of Elk Lake, and the casual, relaxed, and clean atmosphere.
Many friends stayed through the evening to enjoy drinks, live music, and a little pool in the main bar area.
I highly recommend checking Jake’s out for your next event!

It’s a solid off the beaten path bar on Elk lake. It’s extremely clean!! The food was great, basic but good.

Looking forward to Taco Tuesday and a few drinks. Margarita was so bad I only drank three sips. Doesn’t matter since the bartender never bothered to ask about the large drink I ordered and didn’t drink. The service front of house is slothful. Basically like watching Eeyore bartend. Back of house is fine. Food was fine. Fourth time we’ve been here hoping maybe it would be better. Will not be back.

Came here with family to have lunch, the customer service was terrible (rude lady with glasses). Immediately from the start we got dirty looks, she screamed at my wife because she said oh we already know what we would like to eat but she yelled in her face I’m doing drinks first, then she told us they were out of food like what your a restaurant?! glad we didn’t need refills because she didn’t even ask if we wanted more sodas. And to top it off when the Stromboli came out she threw it on table without plates or utensils. We will never be back avoid at all costs!!

We sat and waited at a high top near the bar for about 20 minutes (was never greeted or acknowledged) before we approached the bartender looking to put in our food and drink order. Then waited another 15 minutes before walking out after being told they’d be right over. We left and enjoyed ourselves at another restaurant.

In at 5 PM Sat down to a quiet, clean bar (stainless steel). Friendly barkeep kept a close eye until all eight of us showed up. Great bar food! ¾lb burgers; a steak sandwich that must have been as heavy; large delicious wings (Thursday wing night). Nice place!

We’re always looking for secret places. This one doesn’t disappoint! It’s a bar that serves great bar food! Don’t expect more, but you’ll get so much more. On the edge of beautiful Elk Lake. Bonfire at night. Good, quick service even though it was Thursday wing night and the place was packed.
