We gave this place a try for dinner and maybe we hit bad day or didn’t order the right thing, but the food wasn’t very good. I had the Chx Parm which was thin, overly breaded with that stale deep-fried taste and the sauce was terrible. The Mrs had one of the salads and it was pretty “boring”. The restaurant is dated but on the upside the service was was very good and the prices reasonable

Walked in and was immediately seated. The menu was pretty extensive. It was a hard decision to have dinner. I ended up having the Reuben and it was very good. Husband got a fish sandwich, without the bread, it was glad he got it that way. That piece of fish filled the entire plate. The french fries were not overcooked, and very tasty. Our waitress was very attentive, and a sweet little girl came by and gave us the dessert menu. Coconut cream, pie and peach pie, a perfect ending to a great dinner.

Messages my opinion, But the food is at minimum 98-100% 5 stars. Everyone has a bad day, but on 1/6/24 the The food the service and atmosphere were all five stars. I got a 2 stack strawberry glazed pancakes with a side’s bacon. 4 strips of it remember right? Both were delicious with sweet tea. so in conclusion.
If you’re in Mantua and you’re hungry eat there. I also give my waitress a 20% percent tip( $4.75 ).

Stopped in for breakfast on a week day. Waitress came right over to greet us. They have good diner style breakfast food. Coffee is ok. The biscuits and gravy is very good. Plenty of tables inside. Looked nice and very clean.

Small hidden gem in Mantua Ohio. I can’t express enough on how good the food was. Or the price!! Small cozy spot with huge restaurant feel. Daily specials that are amazing. Definitely go and eat here if you have the chance!!!

Small Restaurant with a small bar with seating. Nice mix of booths and tables. Food is elevated over your normal bar food, and the locals love it. You will find that this place is more than half packed on a regular basis. Will definitely visit again.

I stopped in here briefly while in Ohio a week ago. There was only one waitress/bartender, and for the most part… she visibly hung out in the kitchen chatting with other staff instead of roaming the tables and attending to customers, which means that it took at least 10 minutes for every request we had (more water? hot sauce? drink refill?).
Towards the end of my visit, I asked if the manager was present and the waitress said “yes!” So I asked if she could bring the manager out for a minute…. the waitress disappeared for 10 minutes…. and then instead she returned with the check (which had charged me for two things I did not order). I again kindly asked for the manager, but the waitress refused / declined to fetch him/her.
When I initially asked for the manager I simply wanted to give him/ her a few simple marketing tips to help draw more consumers to the restaurant (one of my family members visits the restaurant every week so I could easily thing of ways the place could be improved without any major spending).
Towards the end of my experience, I realized that Jake’s Eats was terribly managed… the waitresses have no sense of chain of command, and that the waitress charged me for two things I didn’t order. So when I really needed to speak to the manager (about the two things I totally didn’t order) … the waitress basically shrugged me off. I again asked for the manager (who was within eyeview) but was shrugged off. I paid the full bill plus tip (out of principle) but the waitress seemed like she was actively knowing she could overcharge me without consequence because I was from out of state.
I do nor recommend Jake’s Eats whatsoever, and if you do decide to eat here you should record your meal so you have proof if the waitress overcharges you.

Have you had the lemon pie? One bite and I was hooked! The crust…pure golden buttery goodness. The filling…a perfect blend of tart and sweet, so bright and zesty, like sunshine poured into my soul. Once I was finished, I was already planning my next visit!

Great little food joint. The service was fast, the workers were friendly, the prices were unbeatable! Egg and cheese omelette with hash browns and toast was only $1.99 for kids! That alone made this place awesome! I ordered the western omelette and my wife ordered a pancake. The quality of the food was fine and it tasted good. Definitely better than any of the typical breakfast diner chains. Overall the place was fine. We were traveling through the area and found this to be the best place around where we are camping.
