Great helpful service while I sat at the bar & had a delicious shrimp tacos, and a Manhattan made perfectly, plus reasonably priced. The whole staff seemed really helpful and nice. Definitely will revisit when in Billings.

Wonderful place with a nice old school yet upbeat feel. Had dinner and really loved the steak salad. Definitely recommend.

Jake’s downtown food did not disappoint! I had the Smokehouse Pasta for my entrée and the Bourbon Street Mussels as an appetizer — both were absolutely delicious

Jake’s Downtown is our go-to spot. We eat here at least once a week, and it’s the kind of place where you walk in and everybody knows your name. It feels less like a restaurant and more like a place you belong.
The food is always great, the drinks never disappoint, and the music and atmosphere create such a fun, welcoming vibe. But what truly keeps us coming back is the people.
Emily, the manager, is incredible. She goes above and beyond every time we’re there and is such an important part of what makes Jake’s special. She doesn’t just take care of the restaurant — she genuinely cares about the people who walk through the door and is always supporting the community. Ozzy is also fantastic and makes everyone feel welcome the second you arrive.
Jake’s Downtown isn’t just a great place to eat — it’s a place that feels like home. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out.

Service is great, food decent. Throwing some cherry compote on a slice of chocolate cake is not a Black Forest cake. For those wondering, they do not have any port or after dinner cappuccinos.

Went to Jake’s to celebrate a birthday. At first there was a mixup with our reservation. Seems they called the wrong number to confirm and that party canceled. It was quickly corrected and we were actually given a private room! Service was the best! Very attentive, refills quickly tended too. Food was exceptional. Steaks were cooked to perfection! Couldn’t believe how hot the food was! Actually had to blow on it!!! The only downfall was no children’s menu. The price was hefty for 11 of us, but it was a good experience and would do again.

Came in last night with the wife. We ordered a lemon drop martini, pork pot stickers, my wife got the elk medallions, I tried the bison medallions, and my 4 year old got chicken tenders. My kid is actually really picky but wanted to try everything (excluding the martini of course) thats not normal of him to be honest he is quiet picky. The food was absolutely excellent. The waiter was phenomenal as well I watched him seamlessly interact with 6 tables. He talked about how their head chef and other crew have been here 10+ years. That came off as a person who is honestly proud to work here. I also want you to know I’ve heard this from locals when asking around town for good restaurants. Your location was mentioned by 50 different people. I must say this absolutely lived up to the hype. Im sure ill be back. Thanks for the great time.

I am in town for business and several people recommended Jake’s. I didn’t even have to choose where to go because my coworker who lives locally chose it and I met him there. The ambiance is fun. Lots of wood. The waitress’s name was Ally (I am pretty sure) and she was super patient while it took an hour and a half for us to order because we were busy talking. She kept our drinks topped off and was so kind. The food was great. I got the ribeye and a baked potato. The potato seemed like it might have been a little overcooked and it was tough on the bottom, but the steak was great. Very happy with this restaurant and will visit again next time I am in Billings.
