Just stopping in on the way back to OKC. Wanted a quick hamburger from a unique ‘fast food’ drive thru. Decided to eat in, glad we did. NoT traditional fast food, Jakes is like a diner. A yummy diner. Great apps, great ranch. Fountain sodas perfect ratios and fizzy. Burger poppy seed bun was soft & tender. Not poofy & dry. Menu pushed double meat burgers. I opted for 1 patty. It was filling enough. However, I could see how the bun is made to support 2 patties. Nice and filling. I do wish I asked for well done, I don’t like ANY pink. Marshmallow dipping sauce with the sweet potato fries slaps. The most amazing chicken strips ever! Crispy, packed with flavor with nice spice savory flavor. Moist, but we’ll cooked. Big portion. The gravy was NOT typical packaged white peppered blah. The gravy had a deep savory flavor also. I wish I lived closer. Our waitress Mabreigh was so sweet & seemed to really care about using the company offerings to provide value to our dining experience. Bravo!

I wish I discovered Jake’s sooner. I sometimes meet a friend in Waco (it’s halfway drive for us so that’s our compromise). We’ve been to Freddy’s (it’s pretty good for fast food), Hawaiian Bros (not good – portions were skimpy and expensive), and Chick Fil A (pretty consistent). But I’ve been wanting a little nicer than a fast food counter restaurant. Here is where Jake’s enters the picture. We were seated at a table and had a waitress! We ordered beer and burgers and frito pie – the food kept coming because it was so good, we couldn’t stop eating and enjoying. The service is top-notch; there was 1 or 2 waitresses and they were so efficient with all the guests. I can’t wait to plan another trip to Waco just to watch at Jake’s (oh yea, and to hang out with my friend too lol!)

A nice little restaurant on the side of the Interstate. The restaurant was clean and seating was quick. My server, Jasmine, was attentive and checked on me several times to make sure I was good. Had the monzarella cheese sticks. The original burger, and tots. All came out hot and had good flavor. I will revisit to try other menu items.

Indoor and outdoor seating. Fast service, excellent food! I had the Works burger and my wife got the B.L.T. Both of us got fries and were happy. Fries where almost cooked too much but still good. Rest was just right.

This was such a cute, easy lunch spot and the food was great! The buffalo chicken mac and cheese was rich and not too spicy and the burger is worth the stop. ALSO best strawberry shake in Waco!! The food wasn’t greasy but had the fun dinner vibe to the meal. The weather was perfect for enjoying the patio!

Wings were hot, saucy and literally gorgeous. Our server, Jasmine, was super attentive and kind. <3 As well as everyone else, it didnt feel like we were part of someones “section” and we also didnt feel like we were just a table and a tip. Much love for the staff and atmosphere <3 Football and food combo is elite here!!!

Literally so impressed. Jasmine was top notch! We were one of 3 parties in line, and she worked so so hard to get us seated, get us our food, and be attentive to our every need. We even had great conversation!! We will 100% be back. Way to go, Jasmine!!!!

We ate here passing through and it was well worth it. The food was great and well worth it. Wasn’t a fan of the barstool type table we sat at but it was that or a booth. We will definitely stop here again.

You absolutely must try Jakes Burgers! During our visit, we used the drive-thru. Because each order is prepared fresh, this isn’t the fastest option, but the quality and fantastic food makes the wait worthwhile.
Our perfectly prepared burgers, the Bacon Bleu and bacon cheeseburger, were delicious, and the onion rings were truly exceptional. They had the perfect crunch and were the best I’ve had in ages.
Jakes offers exceptional customer service. Everyone was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. This was our first visit to Jakes and we are excited to go back again and dine inside the restaurant. Their menu has so many items we’d love to try.
If you are looking for phenomenal food and exceptional customer service, you definitely need to visit Jakes! This is a MUST to add to your dining list.
