I grew up in Nashua but haven’t set foot in the local restaurant scene since leaving for college over a decade ago. Jaja Cafe on Main Street just made me regret every year I stayed away.
From the moment I walked in, I felt like a regular. The woman behind the counter and who I believe to be her daughter (or colleague) were warm, welcoming, and genuinely engaging in a way that you just don’t see enough of anymore. This wasn’t rehearsed customer service — it was real, effortless hospitality.
The food was excellent. And here’s the thing that really set them apart: before I even paid, they proactively let me know the sausage had come out a bit overcooked and offered to replace it with something else, no questions asked. That kind of honesty and accountability is rare. For the record, it was still good.
I challenge even the most discerning critic to find something wrong with this place. The atmosphere, the people, the food — Jaja Cafe might be the platonic ideal of a modern coffee shop. If you’re in Nashua, do yourself a favor and stop in. You’ll feel like you’ve been going there for years.

I had tried to stop by another coffee shop that I had been to previously but they closed early on this particular day. As luck would have it I found this wonderful place!
I ordered coffee with a bacon egg and cheese sandwich which were great. The best part was the staff. The woman who welcomed me, I’m assuming she was the owner, was so nice and welcoming. She introduced me to the other girls behind the counter so they could take my order. They all greeted me with genuine smiles and seemed to really enjoy what they’re doing.
They also have some amazing baked goods! I highly recommended this place.

Many local businesses recommended them. Unfortunately they close at 2 so we kept missing them. The dark roast is perfect. Complex but not a hint of bitter. Even though it was 1ish the service person insisted on making a fresh carafe because the one on the counter was empty. Late rush she said. She offered baked goods. Can’t say the pumpkin bread was like mom’s. . Much better. They just became a destination for us.

The worst espresso I think I’ve ever had. Overwhelmingly bitter and acidic. I got a regular late with only milk. I can’t imagine how bad just espresso would be. Service was good, very friendly. Please learn to make espresso.

This was one of my Favorite stops on my trip up to NH. The baked goods were beyond amazing, had to come back get a to go for breakfast the next day. The owner was gracious and kind and makes you feel immediately at home. Everything had the hometown feel you want a local coffee shop to have. Will be back next visit to NH for sure.

Such a lovely restaurant! I’ve been a few times, my brother goes frequently, because we love it so much! Everything is always fresh and delicious, they have a fantastic selection of pastries. I love their smoothie bowls and sandwiches, plus the granola is really good too. The owner was working hard taking orders, running food orders and helping her staff. Everyone is nice and friendly, you’ll feel like you know them.

Such a nice little bakery and coffee shop. You can smell the fresh pastry dough in the air as soon as you walk in most days. Food is amazing, the people working there are super sweet and i always leave in a better mood. The espresso and coffee they have are so tasty; the home made pop tarts are to die for.
