You have to go to Jai’s! Honestly one of the best meals I’ve ever had! We had the Toasted Burrata (hands down the best we’ve ever eaten!), Tandoori Chicken Sliders, Gnocchi Tikka Masala (absolutely amazing), and the Makhani Mac n’ Cheese. Their homemade hot sauce is amazing too, we bought some to bring home!
My husband and I went through a difficult experience on our honeymoon and the staff at Jai’s went out of their way for us to escape and enjoy a lovely evening. They really took care of us, going above and beyond, and we can’t thank them enough! We are incredibly grateful! ❤️

We had a lovely dinner as a group of 4 (3 vegans and 1 omnivore). We learned about Jai’s from the SXMVeganEats Instagram account. Chef Jai was super accommodating and made us some wonderful vegan creations. We ordered 3 apps and 3 different main dishes, and they were all outstanding! For appetizers, he made us hummus and garlic pita, mock duck sliders, beet salad. For dinner, he made us a vegan gnocchi, and a mock duck coconut curry. The ambiance is beautiful, the service was excellent, if we lived in St Maarten we’d be regulars for sure!

great food, way too slow, even the cocktails took too long. it wasn’t even busy. the $7 bottle of water annoyed me, as did the imposed tip. the naan is less naan and more doughy pita. do be prepared to spend a couple hours or more here (we didn’t even have dessert). you can see the kitchen and some of the cooking going on, which is kind of neat, but we and two other tables of 2 kept looking mainly to see why it was taking so long.

If you’re looking for a spot that’s fancy enough for a date but chill enough that you don’t feel like you’re being graded on your table manners, this is it.
We stopped by yesterday around 6 pm, without a reservation. There was only one table available inside and a few available outside. The service was excellent – friendly and courteous.
1. We had the Foie Gras Naan & Bacon Chutney for an appetizer. It was exceptionally good, especially the bacon chutney. It was salty, sweet, and smoky all at once. It was basically high-end comfort food for me.
2.For the main course, we went with the Pan Seared Duck Breast. The meat was juicy, slightly pink in the middle, and seasoned to perfection (cooked medium). And the sauce! It was incredible.
The prices were reasonable given higher prices lately.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant and would be back next time we will visit the island.
Thank you for the inviting welcome and delicious meal!

Jai’s is a must visit if you’re in the area, the restaurant requires reservations for the most part but I’d come here everytime to eat if I could! The shrimp biryani was new for me and it was amazing I’ve never had any biryani like this. Though the wait for the food can be a bit long it’s totally worth it. The sizzling brownie for dessert and the cauliflower wings as well are must haves. Service was great and we love to see a husband and wife duo running the restaurant!

We were privileged to have the unique cuisine prepared by Chef Jai. Each menu item was very tasty and elegantly presented with hints of Indian flavors and spices. The service was expertly provided by the beautiful Shona and Ella with and served with flair. Highly recommend trying it.

We have been here twice now, and have throughly enjoyed it both times, so much that we think it may be our favorite restaurant on an island FULL of good restaurants. Chef Jai gives a nod and a smile when you enter. From your table, you can see him and his sous chef at work in the open kitchen. The only other staff is a dishwasher, a bartender and two servers. Very small operation, but here, it’s quality over quantity. The cuisine is bright and full of inventive and flavorful pairings of Caribbean seafood and Indian ingredients, a thoughtful and well-executed culinary approach. Highlights: tandoori chicken sliders (saves you the trouble of ordering the much more filling Jai’s fried chicken), foie gras naan with bacon chutney (wow! never experienced such decadent naan), beet salad, watermelon/feta salad (no longer on the menu, I think), lamb samosas (made with filo dough, and I think the lamb is braised — very good), tuna tataki, seared duck breast with chimichurri and citrus. “Catch of the day” is an automatic A+. I’m forgetting already but I think it was wahoo, fresh and meaty, in a coconut broth either side of rice. Chef Jai gives you another thank-you nod and smile when you leave.
My only knock is that some corners of the dining area itself are a bit ratty looking — the rear wall, baseboard and ceiling area just need a little touch up. Just don’t look over there and you’ll be fine

Excellent food and service. The open kitchen’s view is just incredible and the chef works like lightning. The lights and music were perfect for my honeymoon.

One of the best meals I’ve had on the island. The chef is super approachable and friendly and will guide you through the menu. Sit near the kitchen to get the best views. Truly inspired cooking. Great cocktails and a really warm space. I would 100% recommend Jai’s!

Evening meal here. Made reservation and would recommend you do online as became busy. Interesting menu, great service. Just had main course. Jerk chicken and tikka masala gnocchi plus Mac and cheese, green salad and garlic naan. Everything tasty and delicious. Best Mac and cheese ever. Plenty of food and took left overs for next day. Would recommend.
