We ate at Jai Indian tonight (it’s pronounced “jay”). The food was excellent, fresh and flavorful. The service is beyond friendly and helpful. We were huge Punjabi fans and were disappointed when they closed, but we’ve found a new favorite!

My wife and I stopped at Jai after church and we’re very surprised at how the new owners transformed this space into a bright clean new dining experience. We ordered idli, cheese dosa, and an onion masala dosa. Everything was outstanding, fresh, and flavorful. We were warmly greeted at the counter when we placed our order. We’ll definitely return for dinner service.

This place is new, and has a diverse menu with chaats, South Indian items and North Indian delicacies. However, they don’t know knowledge or expertise to make most of the dishes. We ordered masala puri, a chaat from Bangalore, and served pani puri’s puris with yellow peas, chutneys, and onions. The server said, make the way you want and eat. They served the same set of items for sev puri with a side of sev. When we told them that this is how the dish is not made, one of the ladies in the counter made some mashup with everything and served us some chaat. Totally, displeasing to eyes and palate. The next item was utthapam, which was served with cold sambar and chutneys. The utthapam, itself, had lack of flavor and toppings. I guess, they need to work on getting their staff trained on cooking. If not, don’t offer the items on your menu. Please work on your sides. Everything served to us was cold. Hope you improve.

Excellent food and staff was very helpful in recommendations and description of menu items. Husband and I shared the juicy chicken mandi after they recommended it to us. The sauces were incredible and the chicken was so tender!!! Also enjoyed a delicious potato samosa. Everything was fresh and flavorful.

I was a big fan of Punjabi kitchen when it was here and Jai does not disappoint. We got the Juicy chicken mandi biryani, chikko and mango shakes, and butter chicken to go. The food was absolutely amazing. The biryani prices may seem high, but their portions are easily enough for 2-3 people. So its honestly a pretty solid bargain

My husband and I had chicken biryani (a specific kind with a quarter chicken in a creamy sauce, I don’t remember the name), masala dosa (thin rolled up bread with delicious potato filling), chicken pakora (little fried chicken pieces wonderfully seasoned) — it was way too much food for us two but we had delicious leftovers! We love Indian food and it is definitely worth a try.
The only reason I put 4 stars on atmosphere was the music was pretty loud, but still added to the ambience.

My first experience with this restaurant is really horrible.
1. We ordered mutton briyani combo, didn’t feel like it is briyani, over spices especially cloves.
2. Found plastic in 2/3 briyani (3 briyani combo menu) of them. Firstly thought it was onion and chewed and after researching noticed it a pieces of polyethylene cover.(attached photo).we didn’t open thrid one after seeing this.
3. Kids had these briyani, I am not sure if they swallowed it or not. Who’s responsible here?
Called restaurant about the same, and not getting proper response. They said they are going to enquire kitchen staff now(after about 6 hours of the order).
First experience made it to NO LIST to entire chain of these restaurants.
Please be careful what you eat from here.
Owner – Please please requesting you to provide food with atmost care and do not provide for profits. I am not making big issue of this as its Indian mentality, but not everyone will be in same mindset. I am not sure how to vet out my anger except posting here for others awareness.
Note: I am preserving the plastics for your reference and future examinations if needed.

We just came here and got the pani puri (live) and dosa and it was delicious! Very comparable to the ones we had in Hyderabad. The staff was very friendly and asked us about our trip to India very excitedly. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience and I can’t wait to come back for more!
