My wife and I drove by yesterday right at 11 and decided to give this place a try. We’re really happy we did! Large BBQ sandwich with a side of the most flavorful butter beans you could imagine. We told our server we were splitting the meal and the kitchen prepared two identical plates. Very nice presentation. BBQ sauces were great, but beware the Kick Ass selection as it’s almost too hot to consume. Bathrooms were super clean, too. We’ll be back and will definitely take advantage of their takeout!

It’s just so good, the food the drinks and the dessert are just perfect.
I mostly don’t like the sauce of BBQ places because it’s kind of too salty for me but this restaurant has the flavor just right, not too salty or over seasoned.
The cocktail is also reallllyyyyyy good, when I asked if I can cut the syrup in the drinks the bar tender said yes and it taste sooooo gooood
Will definitely visit again!

Pride & Passion. That’s what you taste and experience as soon as you walk through the door at Jadeans Smokin Six O BBQ.
My Fiancé and I were greeted by Amy at the register and told her it was our first time there. She was beyond helpful with suggestions when it came to deciding what to order. Their menu has a wide variety of options when it comes to utilizing their smoked meats. Sandwiches, Appetizers & Meat platters galore; there’s something for everyone. We landed with getting their Smoked Brisket, Smoked Chicken Thigh Sandwich, Smoked Mac & Cheese, Baked Beans, Onion Rings and their Coated Fries. Everything was perfectly smoked, delicious, and it was some of the best baked beans I’ve had! I will say, the brisket was a little on the dry side for our taste, BUT the smoke flavor with the sauce was perfect. But what’s going to keep you coming back is the customer service. You truly feel at home and welcome by all of the staff. The owner (Janet was her name I think) personally came to our table and thanked us for coming in. We left with an apple turnover (BEST WE’VE HAD) Brunswick Stew and Banana Pudding made to order to take home. Will have reviews for those later.

Just went here yesterday night! I’m very impressed and satisfied with the food
And service. The ribs…… WERE AMAZING!!!! Extremely flavorful and delicious. My only complaint of the place is while the dry rub is amazing I unfortunately didn’t like any of the custom sauces. (That is just my opinion I’d never rate a place low based on something I didn’t personally like). Besides that I literally have no complaints. Great atmosphere, service and food!

Great 3 meats platter. Pulled chicken, pulled pork, and slices of brisket. Collard greens are fresh and delicious. Tried the award winning baked beans, and they are very good.

You know barbecue place is going to be fantastic when they don’t have to do advertising and the branding on the building simply just says BBQ, this place, hands down, has the best barbecue in The Short pump area and easily a top three for the greater Richmond area. Hush puppies for fantastic and way bigger than you thought. The same thing goes for the onion rings. The sandwiches were perfect and the house sauce works extremely well with their pork or the brisket and the nachos had plenty of toppings that you could cover every single chip. 10/10

Dec 13, 2025 Update “WARNING”New Ownership fyi name is changing to “The Back Porch”. Today’s lunch was a complete disappointment with the food and the service. We have been eating here for the past few years under the Jadean’s name and as read below the food and service has been beyond five stars. Unfortunately our first visit under new ownership was upsetting and honestly a return visit is questionable in the future. I hate giving such a review but feel it would be dishonorable to you the public and the previous owners.

Start with the must have onion rings and blue cheese for dipping; OH MY!!!! I had the meat sample sliders with in-house pickled beets; all good! The wife had the redneck sundae; OH YEAH be prepared for the whole smorgasbord of flavor- each bbq meat, Mac n cheese, fries, hush puppies, homemade slaw. I’ve said enough; just Go and stop depriving yourself of from this experience!!!

Great BBQ! Went with my coworkers and we all enjoyed it! The guys all ordered Sandwiches, but I ordered the “Red Neck Sundae”, which is a bowl of pulled pork, fries, baked beans, slaw, hushpuppies, and mac and cheese. Large portions so you won’t go hungry! Atmosphere is very comfortable; everything is new and clean. Very quick service and friendly staff. Highly recommend!

My friends wanted to try a BBQ spot that they’ve heard good things about so Friday after work we all went out in our tacky sweaters to enjoy some good BBQ and Jadeans’s Smokin Six O BBQ did not disappoint me. Everything I ordered was delicious and the portions of the food given was plenty! I don’t usually eat hush puppies but this place had some good hush puppies and the baked beans were along with the smoked Mac and cheese! The ladies who served us were also nice with checking on to see if we needed anything. I can now see why the parking lot is always full when I drive home. 10/10 recommend checking them out!

First time visiting and it was a good visit. Had the large Brisket sandwich on Texas Toast and that comes with 2 sides: I had smoked man n cheese along with Bakes Beans…. everything was very tasty. Beans had a great Smoky flavor plus a hint of heat; I noticed some chopped jalapenos in it and Mac n cheese was very smoky with large chunks of pulled pork. BRISKET had a nice ring and “PULL” to it, very good
