Just got back from the Doubletree in San Jose. It was pretty quiet, honestly – just a couple of other diners. We got a couple of meals to go and it was a decent price, around $90 total. The portions were generous, especially the orange chicken, but there was a *lot* of onion in it. Maybe a little less would be amazing! Parking was easy.

Okay, so I tried this place on Aurora Ave N today. It was super confusing finding it – the parking sign was misleading and the building itself looks a little rough around the edges. We waited for about 20 minutes for our takeout order, and honestly, the area felt a bit sketchy. The food was decent, good portions for the price, but the extra $10 for rice was a bit much. Would’ve been nice if they had more outdoor seating.

Okay, so I checked out that place on Aurora Ave N – 8904. It was pretty busy when I went, lots of takeout orders. The owners were super friendly, but definitely loud! Food was really tasty, and the portions are huge, so good for sharing. Parking’s a pain, they charge, and it was a bit of a wait. Maybe they could have some outdoor seating to ease the crowding a little.

Good for what it was, so much onion that wasn’t pictured on the picture of it. The flavor is there but also not really, adding Siracha made it somewhat tolerable. I also wish they added Chinese broccoli or something

What the heck did I walk into?! If ordered through a delivery app maybe I could’ve been fooled. We were staying a couple blocks away, it’s cheaper to walk and pick up than get delivered. We saw the sign (earlier in the day) and the crowd thinking “oooh it must be good!” Ha! Little did we know the sign placement made it look like it was busy but turns out the crowd we saw was at health clinic next door. We walked in and there wasn’t any tables or any place to sit. The entrance is in a small parking lot with a hand painted “Public Parking $5” sign. The front of the building had boarded windows. Looks like a drug front. Super sketchy, we got there before it was ready and by the time we got “home” the food was cold. Also you have to pay an extra 10 dollars for a super small side of rice. It does look pretty ♀️

Picked up a to go order. Kinda had to wonder when I saw the restaurant, looks like they don’t get much dine in traffic. Food was good portions and tasted good. Solid choice.
