Jade Palace Restaurant

My brother-in-law took us to this restaurant especially to introduce us to their lobster — and what an amazing experience it was!

They offer a complete and very well-organized buffet, with a great variety of dishes, all very flavorful. The soups and the wonton are authentic and delicious.

The lobster is truly the highlight of the place — absolutely outstanding and incredibly tasty. A real showstopper!

The service was very good and friendly. We believe the lady who welcomed us was the owner — she was extremely kind, warm, and attentive to our family, which made the experience even more special.

Thank you very much, and see you next time. We will take this wonderful experience with us to Brazil with great affection.

I came in right at 10:30 when they open for the buffet. I brought my computer and was going to do some work and have a nice lunch. Then I bit down on a piece of chicken, and found a TACK in my mouth! It took me a couple days to post this review because I have been so disgusted. But this disgusting rusty tack was in my food and I almost swallowed it! Huge food safety violation. I’ve already reported them to the state. I told the manager and she literally said, “what do you want?” I said, well I’m not eating anymore and I’m not paying, so I’d like to leave.” She said okay and I left and will never be coming back. That is just outrageous and I could have been very injured if I did swallow it.

It’s definitely a good value. I had the buffet and was impressed that wonton soup was on the line but sad that there was no gravy for the egg foo yong. The green beans and pepper chicken were my favorite, it seems that the sauces were light in flavor on the other dishes.

I enjoy all the windows and natural light. I wish there would have been music playing. But fun to see the robot making its way from the kitchen to the register with to go orders on them.

I had the buffet, but it is also possible to order off the menu. They seem to do a good takeout business and it’s fun to watch the robot bringing the food from the kitchen to the cash register for people who’ve ordered takeout.

The food was OK and they had a decent variety on the buffet. It’s not a huge buffet, but it’s big enough to cover most of what you might be interested in. Service was excellent, and our waitress was very attentive. They had wonton soup and hot and sour soup, a few shrimp, dishes, and items as well as chicken, both fried and sautéed and I believe broccoli and beef. A few dessert items such as cookies and pudding and some fruit. Prices were very reasonable at about $15 for dinner. They had a few vegetable items, but not as much as I would have expected. All in all it was an acceptable meal.

Jade Palace was decided upon after an extensive search to hopefully gave a good dinner. We opted for the buffet option- not only was it hot and fresh. But it was tasty as all get out! Prices were highly reasonable as well! We all ate so much of our fill that we were close to being sick! But it was it worth it!

It’s a fine buffet. Lots of different types of food, both warm and cold. They also have 2 huge menus, a normal and a traditional Chinese. We come here at least once a month. Food is always good and fresh. Sometimes table next can be a little loud, but that’s nobody’s fault but some rude people.

Came to Jade Palace as a default on Super Bowl Sunday as our preferred place was closed. I am so conflicted by some of the prior reviews of this place. I came in with my 10 year old daughter and no asked me her age, but they charged me for 2 adult buffets. And then I saw the buffet options. All 10 of them. There were 3 meat options (almost empty trays) , the lo mien was dried out with crispy noodles, and then an empty tray of SOMETHING got so hot on the buffet that it started to sizzle and burn and NO ONE came to look at it- NO ONE. But let’s understand that situation- there were three employees working the floor.
1. The hosts- she was on her phone when we walked in. She seated us then went and sat back down and got right back on her phone. How do I know? Because she didn’t even put her phone on silent, so the whole restaurant could hear everything she was watching on social media.
2. The young lady waiting on us was nice enough. During our dinner, she sat at another table adjacent to ours with another young man wrapping silverware. That is totally fine. WHATS NOT FINE IS THAT SHE WAS LITERALLY DIGGING IN HER NOSE AND WIPING IT ON TABLECLOTH AND THEN HANDLING SILVERWARE ! I almost threw up right there at the table. She didn’t think anyone was watching. I still paid my bill of almost $40 for 2 adult buffets (even though my daughter is underage) just to get the hell out of there. DO NOT go here unless you don’t care about cleanliness and you have money to blow. I will NEVER go back.

This was the first restaurant where I tried DimSum. I ordered the shrimp and pork because I wasn’t sure if I would like offal. It was good.
The restaurant also has a buffet, which had little variety, but the quality of each dish was good, which is probably why there were so many customers.
I thought it was traditional Chinese food. I am happy to give a 5-star review.
Thanks

This place is amazing with great food and super friendly staff! We’re regulars at Jade Palace and know they always use fresh ingredients and make everything from scratch, and everything is delicious. My little one is treated like a superstar every time, and she gets so excited to push the button on the robot. It’s absolutely her favorite restaurant in Louisville. She’ll only eat green beans here. Lol

I lived in Louisville for 5 months but didn’t try this place out, which was a mistake. When we came in, i was suprised coz it says buffet $10 for lunch and $12.50 for dinner (that’s really cheap compared to other places). I asked if they have dimsum and the gentleman that helped us said yes and provided us a menu. Almosy everything that we ordered was great, siomai can be better, but it wasn’t bad. Service was also great and they were a little busy. When he took my order, it was like talking to someone i already know lol. The only thing i disliked was that the food came in a plastic container. I hope they don’t steam the food in it.

I think everyone there got the buffet. I did take a peek of the choices and it’s your regular american chinese food, which is a great deal for $10. Dimsum selection was great tho and inexpensive.
