i’m extremely disappointed with this meal. I tried to contact the Driver and even the restaurant and nobody is now answering. I would please love a refund on this because I’m literally chewing something. That’s so chewy. It doesn’t even break up. this is a chicken and broccoli with white rice combo and the chicken isn’t bringing up when I chew it????

One of the better Chinese take-out places in the area. I ordered chicken chow mein and it had a good balance of chicken to vegetables. It came with pork fried rice and an egg roll, which were not greasy. The service was very good.

I’ve been ordering Chinese food from this restaurant for years and have always enjoyed their food. However, my most recent experience was extremely disappointing. I placed an order directly through their website (not a third-party app), which already includes a $1 delivery fee. After placing my order, I received a call from the restaurant asking why I didn’t leave a bigger tip and pressuring me to add more.

The truth is, it was actually a mistake on my part I simply forgot to edit the tip amount before submitting the order. But instead of showing any understanding, they chose to call me and demand more. I found this to be incredibly rude and ungrateful, especially given that I’ve been a loyal customer for so long. It wasn’t about the extra few dollars it was the entitled attitude and lack of respect. Because of this unprofessional behavior, I decided to cancel my order.

Good food should always be matched with good customer service, and unfortunately, this experience left a very bad impression. So I ordered from another location instead and gave a great tip.

Ill never order from here again that much i know. I live maybe 10 minutes up the road. Food comes over an hour late, cant even bring the right order, and get told “oh wel your correct order to you when we can were busy” and ontop of it the drivers pen doesnt work, and is completely rushing me to sign the order bill and pointing to the tip… what? Jade used to be my favorite spot for chinese. Not anymore im afraid. Its honestly a disgrace. If youre in the area, fairview & #1 chinese are your best bets. Hunan Garden too!

First time ordering from this place through UberEats. Got a curry beef for $17.99 and a boneless spare rib for $10.99. The curry beef had mostly veggies, like onions, carrots, bell peppers, and green beans, with very little beef. Plus, the curry flavor was really weak, not recommended at all.

The boneless spare rib was okay in terms of flavor, not too sweet, but over half of the meat had burnt parts, which made it quite disappointing to eat.

Overall, I didn’t enjoy either dish. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t really recommend this restaurant.

For many years this was the first place I ordered Chinese food from. I tried a few others, loved some of there items alot more than here but none of them offered all of my favorites or maybe the option to use coupons.
I recently started receiving promo texts from Jade Gourmet that looked like they were offering something special to me. No…not a please come back discount or something like that. I just had a link to the higher priced menu than I had in my menu drawer. Tonight, I went to place an order thru the site online. I wrote in a few requests but wasn’t allowed to use the free coupon for a free order of general Tso’s Chicken that the $60 had earned. So I called, asked and was told you can only use it if calling in your order. I placed the order with her, got thrown off when I was corrected about one of my special requests being regular preparation and I neglected to say PLEASE LOSE ALL THE EXTRA VEGGIES you add to my orders of chicken with broccoli and chicken with snow peas. Also forgot to ask fo screaming packets of mustard sauce for the order of lomein and fried rice! I called 21 minutes after we hung up to ask for more mustard packets, she said she sent TWO!! And he already left!!! WHAT??? I was shocked how that much food was made so quickly! She did call the driver to tell him to give me any packets he might have in his car; he had 4, which wasn’t enough but he was sooo nice! I told him 2 packets for all this food?!! I hope they prepared the order correctly! JINX LOL
Nope! Chicken with snow peas should be just that. NOT LADEN DOWN with huge slices of ? Celery and I don’t know what else. I gagged when I opened the lid to snap a pic. The chicken with broccoli should be just that; thankfully I think there may be just a small amount of sliced carrots in there. I dislike cooked carrot unless it’s paper thin and soft. These are not. I will have to dissect this item in order to eat it.
I called to express my complaint with the added veggies thinking I had made the request when I called in the order. I admitted to only doing it for the online order and asked for a replacement. I was instantly refused. Now I expressed how I have felt for as long as I can remember ordering Chinese food…WHY DO I HAVE TO REMEMBER THAT YOU THROW IN ALL OTHER SORTS OF VEGGIES INTO YOUR FOOD ITEMS.
If I would have not have lost my parking spot I would have been in my car to drive the 8ish blocks there to get a ton of mustard packets and dumped off the chicken with MIXED VEGGIES that is wasted money spent. I wish I had someone to give it away to…
20 thumbs down to z jade gourmet for stinging out on mustard & hot sauce packets, overloading on the soy & sweet sauce packets and to miss sometimes nice phone answering person for not being more considerate of her customers error. Bad business practice but I doubt she cares.

So I used Uber to place an order and placed an order for shrimp with lobster sauce . Usually they come with the option to choose fried rice or white rice . Uber didn’t have the option so I made a note . The restaurant decided to write me a note blaming me for not buying fried rice and asking for it . If they just said sorry can’t do . I would’ve been fine. The shrimp with lobster sauce also tasted like it was heavily watered down . Usually the sauce is so thick you can’t see the contents but , it was so clear , and It had no flavor . Their food is usually decent and I’m so Dissa and mostly annoyed at the way they handled the order

We normally really love the dishes we typically order from this restaurant.

Unfortunately I need to post this review because of the lady we spoke to on the phone. She was unprofessional and in total denial.

We have been ordering from Jade for over two years now and never had any reason to complain. However, on the 25th of May we ordered three mains and all were totally bland and missing ingredients. The Hunan Shrimp combination was missing scallops and other ingredients, it was mainly vegetable chunks and a few shrimp scattered about, and tasteless. The beef with mushrooms was packed with mushrooms and less beef than usual, it seemed bland to taste. The General Tso’s Shrimp was gooey and again, lacked flavour.

We called the restaurant to enquire whether the chef had been changed. We were told by the lady that this was not the case. She asked if we had ordered directly from the restaurant. We informed her that we ordered through Grubhub. That set her off, and she began to blame us and Grubhub for the food we recieved. Hello? What did we or Grubhub have to do with the making of these dishes?

Instead of her accepting our concern positively, she absolutely refused responsibility and blamed third parties for the quality. If we were not genuine, why would we take the trouble to call the restaurant to inform them that our dishes that were not up to their usual standard? Instead of apologizing, we were scolded!!

Jade, you seriously need to revise your customer service. It is, after all, us, your customers that keep your business afloat. Once a customer has been berated, it leads to decreased customer satisfaction and results in a potential loss of business and damage to the company’s reputation. Do bear this is mind before reprimanding your customers, and stop to think twice.

I very much doubt that we will be parting with our money towards this establishment again. It is a great pity.

The meat on the Pepper Steak was so rough we had to spit it out every time we ate it. The Pu Pu Platter sounded so good on the menu, but damn it was so gross I only ate 1 bite of each piece to see if I liked any of it at all. The whole platter tasted old and desperately revived by some weird spices to hide the rotting taste, but newsflash!! It still tastes rotten! Don’t trust the ratings!!! My very first mistake to begin with. The delivery man was so rude, I was literally opening my wallet just so I could give him tip and he was rushing me. Complete waste of money. Don’t risk getting sick! Look the other way! Yes it’s cheap but definitely not worth it!
