I was really a fan of this place until my 2 most recent visits. The portions have shrank significantly, you CAN NOT change my mind and the price is insulting. I ordered 1 order of peeking dumings and 1 order of sesame beef. $38 the person at the counter said to me while they rang me up. I asked if they were sure, and they actually laughed to themselves and said the price of everything has increased. Jesus Christ I’d say so. If I wasn’t so hungry when I was there I probably would have left without taking food home. My previous order was 3 items and almost $50. I thought it was a mistake and was going to mention it when picking up my two items most recently but was deterred when the man behind the counter laughed when I asked about the $38 for two items.

I ordered a combination meal, which was excellent. The chicken fingers and crab rangoon were among the best I’ve had in a long time. The General Gau’s chicken pieces were enormous and flavorful. Nice large portions of everything.

Ordered from here for NYE as my regular restaurant was closed for the day. The food from Jade Gourmet was outstanding and considering NYE is the busiest day for a Chinese Restaurant, that is a huge compliment. Everything ordered was perfectly cooked and tasty. If I had one comment, the serving sizes were much smaller than I have been familiar with from my previous restaurant. For that reason only I gave it a 4 star rating.

Tried the Hawaiian chicken for the first time. It’s my new favorite! Absolutely delicious. Big chunks of pineapple. Lots of onions, mushrooms, carrots and snap peas. And chicken of course. The sauce is so good. The hardest part was not eating the entire large in one sitting!

Fresh vegetables! Generous portions! We had take out meals at lunch. The beef and brocolli and the broccoli was still crunchy, not overcooked….that.s a good thing! Quality food. The chicken wings were delicious and not greasy. Happy to order again from Jade Gourmet in Wakefield!
