Tonight wasn’t a good night for our food at Jade garden. Normally I really like their food. Today. It almost seemed like I had leftovers. Or at least two of my shrimp egg rolls were super dry. The vegetable mixture inside was Old. Definitely not fresh. The egg rolls were very tough and I could not chew through them. Two of them must have been made earlier. And they were just reheated. Four of them were not as hard to chew through. They were definitely fresher but the vegetable mixture inside was still the old stuff. Very disappointing. And then we come to the pork lo mein. Extremely dry. Probably reheated. Lack of sauce. It was all soaked up in the noodles. Also disappointing. Please do better.

Best Chinese food in the Lancaster area. My husband has been getting Jade Garden for years and whenever we have a craving we make the 20 minute drive to Mount Joy in order to get good Chinese food. Last night was no exception, the general Tso’s is delicious and my husband loves his honey chicken. We are both a fan of their veggie lo mein and my husband loves crab rangoons so we ordered those as well and they are pretty tasty!

Love love love their food. My family and I sometimes get their takeout and it’s amazing every time. They never fail to impress. The food stays warm throughout the drive home and is always good to eat. Eating in is delightful! The seating is comfortable and the scenery is very peaceful. Employees are sweet and cashiers are always nice. I recommend for a cute date night or a relaxed family dinner.

The chicken and broccoli I had was less than desirable. The sauce was okay, but there were definitely more veggies than chicken. Big pieces of broccoli to fill the container with a few slivers of carrots and some chicken. Definitely cutting costs by back filling with the veggies.
The pepper chicken my girlfriend had was similar. It was more onions and peppers than chicken, and what chicken was there was chopped fine.
We both had some intestinal distress after dinner that night. Not fully blaming the food from here, but probably a contributing factor.
Don’t think we will be back here.
