I had no intention of having a bite when I dropped in. I was just wondering what the changes of the restaurant looked like.
I was impressed.
It was lunch time so Luna offered the special of the day which was meatloaf for about 12 bucks. She said it was her favorite of the specials offered.
Wow… It was the best lunch special. Delicious. As if prepared by an in house Chef. So fricken good. Look at the pics.
I highly recommend Jacobs Pub for their lunch punch. Awesome

WOW! My husband made a reservation for my birthday at Jacob’s Pub. We wanted to try out a new local place. Upon arriving, they gave us an awesome table with fresh flowers and a “Happy Birthday” sign with it. Our waitress Clarissa was one of the best servers we’ve ever had! The food was amazing, and the portions fed us dinner the next night too. They also gave us a fantastic birthday dessert. I highly recommend this place, one of the best dining experiences in Evansville, IN!

Jacob’s Pub truly made my wife’s birthday feel special. We made a reservation for four, and from the moment we arrived, the service was incredibly kind and attentive. Several staff members wished her a happy birthday, and they even sent her home with flowers, which was such a thoughtful and unexpected touch. The whole experience felt personal, not rushed, and genuinely welcoming. Wonderful service, lovely people, and a place that clearly cares about its guests. The food was good and portions were great. And my wife is still talking about her espresso martini she got. We will absolutely be back.

Love local places, especially ones with history. The ribeye was excellent! Pricey but large portion. Cooked just right. Enjoyed the crab stuffed mushrooms with alfredo. Good, chill atmosphere in the bar area, didn’t go into dining room. Service was attentive and friendly. Will be a returning customer!

My food was so good I ordered a 2nd dish! My husband and I went out to lunch with his mother and while deciding where to eat we found Jacob’s Pub. Each one of us ordered different things and we all LOVED our food. We will be back. The chicago hotdog I had was so good that I ordered a 2nd one (I am eating for two). It’s very rare to find a place where you can order 4 meals for under $60. My husband is still talking about how good his Italian beef was. I can not wait to try more things from there. Beth, our server, made our experience real enjoyable. We didnt have to ask for a single thing she was on top of everything and you can tell she enjoyed working there. She was very friendly and always had a smile on her face. They even display local art and have a stage for potential live music in the next room. So very excited to see what this place will become!

Had an outstanding lunch here today. The shrimp scampi app with the Italian beef and ribeye sandwiches. The food was perfect and delicious. Their lunch is great and we can’t wait to try dinner. They have a wonderful outdoor dining area too. This restaurant is situated in a historic building that is tastefully decorated and clean in a revitalized part of town. The service is excellent and refills are well timed. It is easy to find using Google Maps.

Absolutely ridiculous how GREAT the food is here. The food is EXACTLY like it was when Dan Dilegge was the proprietor…in fact, Dan’s sister is keeping their tradition of phenomenal food alive with the exact recipes that have made this building full of happy customers over the years. Props to the new proprietors…food is incredible. The Filleto De Manzo…words can’t do justice to describe how good it is…just like it used to be!!! Staff is great, cozy atmosphere…do yourself a favor and GO!
