While this place doesn’t need me to restate all the wonderful things that have been said in previous reviews, I can’t help but point out what a treat it was to have lunch here. Do yourself a favor and come and have a hamburger. Anybody can make a plain old hamburger, but with the quality of the beef and care of preparation Jason’s is fantastic, setting itself far apart from any chain. Great food, great people, great service.

Okay so you know I rarely get five stars. This time I’m delighted to. Been meaning to come to this little roadside joint for a while and really glad we did.
It’s one of those iconic places that so often goes out of business. I hope this one never does because it has everything going for it that you would look for in a local Hometown diner joint.
I say that as a supreme compliment. Everything is as genuine and real as you can get, from the people to the atmosphere to the food.
How many places do you go where the manager comes over to check on you every once in a while and the owner drops by for a 15-minute chat.
The burgers are top-notch but if you’re really hungry I’d recommend a double.
One the best Reubens I’ve ever had.
Really reasonable prices and they do take plastic.
It may be 15 miles away but we’ll go out of our way to visit again.

I came there looking for a cream pie, However, I found the best oatmeal raisin cookie I’ve had in a long time. My Father in law agrees.
I can’t wait to try the Reuben, the gyro, and the Italian sub.
Thoughts:
Families were sitting around talking with their children, Other people were quietly enjoying their food. The meal was ready quickly, and I didn’t even need silverware.

My first time eating here, staff was super friendly and gave me the run down on how it works. Lots of great things to choose from on the menu. I had the burger special with onion rings. Everything came out quickly and was hot and fresh (not sitting under a heat lamp for hours). The interior has an old school vibe with some nice memorabilia on The walls. Had a nice selection of cold beers and other drinks. I’ll definitely be making sure if I’m in the area at lunch to stop in.

Since Jacob’s changed owners they stopped opening on on Saturday’s. They are now only open M-F 10am to 3:30pm. I go to work at 7am & don’t get off work til 5pm M-F.
So that totally cut me out of being able to enjoy their steak n a sack & fried mushrooms. Which have always been the best in town, that I’ve found anyway.
I wish they would stay open later one day a week (like til 6 or 7) Or maybe be open on Saturday’s & be closed on Sunday & Monday.

The food here was decent, but it’s the people that will have you coming back. They were so nice and extremely accommodating. It felt like having lunch at a friend’s house. We sat outside, and they came to check on us multiple times. They even brought out a box of cookies and had my son choose one.

What an amazing establishment!!! Excellent ownership- Kelly is super genuine, personable, and actually greets and remembers her customers! It’s honestly how customer service should be at any establishment!
My wife Kathleen and I have been there twice now, and we have felt welcome each time. Robin is also amazing, and very attentive always filling our water and seeing if we need anything! All the employees are excellent! I initially was skeptical when I heard ‘best burger in town’ but this place is no joke- it truly is “THE BEST BURGER IN TOWN” hands down that we’ve had in Knoxville, Tennessee!!!
We can’t wait to come back and highly recommend this wonderful establishment! Keep up the great work Kelly and team!!!
