At no fault to the restaurant, when my wife and I came here, there was a very large group (25+) seated. This delayed our service significantly from getting drinks, menus, and the complimentary chips and salsa. However, our server was not attentive to us, or several other tables due to the demands of the large group. After 20 minutes we finally received the items, and waited to take our order. My wife got Caldo de Camarones y Pescado and I ordered the brisket enchiladas. Another 20 minutes of waiting and we finally received our food. Although it was hot, my enchiladas were comically tiny, while 80% of the plate was rice and beans. If there was a decent amount of meat in the enchiladas it wouldn’t have been an issue, but the entire dish was insanely bland, even the enchiladas themselves had almost no flavor. Imagine taking frozen taquitos from the box and taking 20% off of that, that’s the size of the enchiladas, which are priced at around $14. My wife’s Caldo historically has great flavor, and this contained none of that. A singular carrot slice was found, but the soup had no real soul or flavor to be found. We paid just over $40 for an awful experience, and we will not be returning.

I stopped here during my road trip for my hiking YouTube channel “Beyond the Pavement”. I had some of the best shrimp stew I’ve ever had my life. The flavor was amazing. Clean restaurant and friendly staff. Definitely going to come back here next time I’m in town.

Great atmosphere, very inviting. The service was tremendously given. The food was fresh, hot, and made how I ordered. Flat style, extra cheese, enchiladas with fried egg on top. Ice cold Coke with 2 limes. The sauce was decent, needed a bit more flavor. Side of beans was alright. Also came with potatoes with peppers. A bit lightly cooked in my preference, they were ok.. I would definitely eat there again.

I drive 5 hours to amarillo every two weeks and always wake up for the breakfast here. Amazing staff, atmosphere, and food! Horchata here is excellent. 10/10

Service was ok, just overpriced. 12.00 for a burger, 11 for biscuits and gravy. I feel as though this was truck stop quality food for the fine dining price, it is just not worth it to me. Probably not coming here again.

Absolutely amazing experience at Jacob’s Restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, offering attentive service without ever being overbearing.

The food was great every dish was clearly prepared with care and fresh ingredients.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for excellent food, great service, and a cozy, welcoming vibe. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to often!

Jacobo’s Cafe was good. It wasn’t “write home to your family” amazing, but it was good. Will I come back here? Yes. Will I go out of my way to come back here? No. The service was a little slow, but good. The food was okay. My barbacoa plate wasn’t very hot when it came out, and the queso was very thin and runny… like too much milk or something? The decor was good, and the place was clean, the meal was just a *little* more expensive than I had thought it would be. Solid 3 stars.

We got the machaca and brisket enchiladas. Very authentic and delicious, friendly service and the price was right. This place is a hidden gem.

I got a sausage breakfast burrito with hashbrowns and cheese sticks… I ate the whole burrito.. Now the hashbrowns had some kind of weird slimey texture to it. Didn’t eat it.. Cheese sticks were cooked a little bit too fast.. Overall the burrito got the job done lol
