There is no better place in the Northwoods; the food & bakery items are scratch made & delicious. Fellow snowmobilers, this place is not featured on the signage but is walking distance from the intersection near Hazlehurst. Open hours are a bit limited but you will not regret stopping or schedule your rip so that you can stop. I always seek out special eating places & this is one!

Is it sacrilegious to say that the daughter’s bakery/brunch concept is every bit as great as the father’s suppertime restaurant was? The ambience makes for a wonderful dining and/or drink experience, be it coffees or drinks at the bar, or brunch and/or pastries. And while the menu is not stuffed with meat and potatoes, as a diner of the male persuasion I found it difficult to choose just one item from a varied array of delicious and substantial choices. After we enjoyed salad and pastries and coffee, our subsequent desserts to-go bag exceeded the price of our brunch. That’s a good thing, because just like with the brunch selections, there were so many delicious-looking desserts that we took several back to the timeshare with us. Best of all, we discovered Jacobi’s early in our week vacation, so we will now have several more days to stop by for more. Going there every day for the balance of our stay (four more days) is not out of the question. Jacobi’s has something for everyone, and the venue is warm and inviting.

I don’t mind paying $15 for a chicken wrap, especially if I’m really hungry. I was expecting it to be exceptional but it was just okay. what really threw me off was the service. I think they have a policy NOT to open the door for customers pushing a baby stroller. Coming in and out of the restaurant was a struggle, because the front wouldn’t stay open. I watched as the two restaurant staff just stood there staring at me as I attempted to enter on my own. I thought maybe they would help me leave after I spent over $30 on a wrap and few pastries. I was wrong. I had to pry the door open with a carpet and struggle to get the baby out of the door as the same two staff members stood there staring at me again. It was super awkward. If you’re looking for great service and a great deli sandwich, just go up the road to Charlie’s Cheese. I promise you Charlie’s will not let you down!

Jacobi’s of Hazelhurst – We’ve been driving by Jacobi’s, off of Cedar Falls Rd & Kaubashine Rd, for years on our way to the cabin. They’ve always been closed during the week when we are there in the Spring or in the Fall. We were up for my wife’s birthday so the timing to visit seemed like the perfect opportunity to visit. This was our first visit and things seemed to not go smoothly from the minute I stopped to make reservations and added that we would be celebrating a birthday. When we stopped the next night, 30 minutes before our reservation the “new” host informed me that they didn’t have a reservation for us but she’d be able to work us in for our requested time @ 6:00. We sat at the bar and ordered a couple of Wisconsin classics – Brandy Old Fashioneds – and thought we’d strike up a conversation with the bartender and learn a little more about the family owned restaurant – no such luck, even though we were the only ones sitting at the bar for the first 10 minutes, she was somewhat pre-occupied and didn’t have time to talk. When a table came available, we were seated adjacent to the bathroom, so my wife had a great view of the ladies bathroom door. Ok, we thought we’re off to a rough start, things can only get better from here…no such luck. Our server was equally pre-occupied and seemed put out that this was our first visit and that we didn’t know the menu and that we had a few questions. Now for the bright spot of the visit – the food…first some appetizers which were delicious and then our entrees – I had the pecan encrusted chicken breast which was very good. We also shared a couple of deserts which were delicious as well. Overall, I thought the servers and service lacked professionalism and did not match the quality of the food. We did enjoy our food, the eclectic flavors and combinations, but for the $100+ that we spend at the bar and dining – I was not impressed. Unfortunately a nice evening to celebrate a birthday at a local, Northwoods restaurant didn’t impress. There are too many options in the Northwoods that we’ve enjoyed over the years so I probably would call this visit – one and done. By the way, no one took time to extend birthday wishes to my wife…disappointing.

Such a cute place!!
We just stopped in to get coffee and a treat to go but we hope to be back for a full meal in the future. Both our coffee drinks were delicious!
We arent always up during open hours/days so its taken a while to finally get there that’s okay and we will be sure to make time to get there again! We have to drive by every time we are up to get to family, and im so glad ive been able to see the changes inside now. The menu looks awesome and fun how it changes.
