I feel late to the game just now finding this amazing food spot, and honestly, I’m so sad I didnt find this place sooner. This is the type of home cooked soul warming food I have been searching for in Omaha. The waitresses are amazingly kind and very personable. My wife says the sweet tea was to die – whereas my personal high light was the fried okra. Fried okra is one of my mom and my favorite apps and this place does them right – right here at home. Highly recommend stopping by, even the food is named after places we love. This is the heart of what makes North O what it is today. Keep up the good work y’all.

Excellent even on a challenging day! They provided excellent food. The chicken and waffles were phenomenal! Small issues were address and corrected with upmost sincerity. These are people who truely care. There was so much genuine care for our dining experience. We will be back.

The restaurant was a great choice after a long day at the zoo. We met a friendly couple upon arrival and had great recommendations. The music leaned over to the R&B vibes! As far as food goes, a few pieces of the ribs were dry and hard to eat but the tender pieces were delicious. The mac n cheese was great, and the greens maybe needed to be cut down some depending on preference. The catfish and peach cobbler were also delicious. Overall, I do recommend. However, ordering a plate to go, brought the prices to a hefty amount.

As someone who loves food, this place hits home. The waitress and staff were amazing even though our order was so large. No complaints at all. The salmon croquette sandwich was delicious. The chicken was fried well and moist. The fried okra, macaroni, fries, spaghetti, baked beans, shrimp and grits, and potato casseroles set my taste buds alit happily. My son even enjoyed roaming around the restaurant.☺️ Will be coming back to try their waffles.

Jackson’s was a nice place to visit on 24th Street. But the food needs some refinement. I ordered the salmon croquette sandwich and all that came was a dry salmon patty on a bun. No Sauce, and not even a little lettuce onion and tomato. I have to admit the bun was very nicely toasted and the okra was fried to perfection. But again, no sauce came with it. As a foodie, I feel that this eatablishment has a lot of potential that could be achieved through a bit of thoughtfulness about texture. Truly, a little signature aioli and some pickled garnishes would go a long way here.

My friend and I really enjoyed our brunch today! We will definitely be back sometime soon. The environment was super cute, clean, prices were super reasonable, and they had games available if you wanted one. Food was DELICIOUS and came out in a timely manner. I am vegetarian and felt the options were more than plentiful to still have good choices, but my friend loved her chicken and potato casserole. Our favorite part was our sweet server who was very attentive and informative about the menu. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

The first time I had breakfast here I had no complaints.
I live 2hrs away from here and my love suggested we have breakfast here again before my trip back home. I had an omelette, hash browns, and toast. The toast was soggy so I asked for new toast. Our waitress was so sweet and offered to replace it. Well I started to eat and noticed that the food tasted very greasy. I didn’t want to complain about it because my love had to be to work and I needed to hit the highway to head back home. Mind you I also took notice that the prices had been raised. As a consumer one would expect the quality of the food to be on point for the price being charged. I made our server aware and she apologized. What makes matters worse I had to make an emergency stop to the bathroom before hitting the highway because my body rejected it to put it mildly. Maybe the cook had an off morning. I posted a picture and you can see how greasy the food was.

I had heard of this place from friends and decided to try it on Friday. I had the catfish dinner with Mac and greens and let me tell you…. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Brenda gave us amazing service and recommended we try the dinner for a better pricing rather than the lunch. Soul food in north Omaha was on point. Food was great, service was spectacular, nothing like I’ve had before, music was spot on for the night time life. Highly recommend coming here.
