Sat in the bar at the counter as they wanted to give priority to groups for tables.
Fyi: Friday/Saturday is prime rib night…$38
Try the Tractor Brewing Blood Orange Ale on tap. Very enjoyable brew.
Hints:
1. Watch parking along the side street in their lot as there is no curb. Go too far and you will roll down to the street.
2. Don’t use the main right front hand door, it squeels like a opera pig.
3. Tip the bartender as they not only prepare drinks but waitress five table plus the bar top.
Jackson Steakhouse is one of the few that offers American style dining options.
I have been here for three weeks and I have done both carryout and dine-in with Jackson’s at least eight times. Every single time the service has been positive and conscientious. Little mistakes (such as forgotten condiments) have been corrected immediately. Always with a friendly attitude.
The food has been well prepared and I’ve enjoyed my meal every time. I’ve ordered for my groups on multiple occasions which means I have 10 takeout orders to go. All of them have always been prepared with care, labeled correctly, and we’re ready on time.
The chef is very friendly and positive as well. We have talked to him at least a couple of occasions as he’s passed through and checked on our meals.
But I definitely will be returning here again.
We waited in the adjoining bar while waiting to be seated. The bartender, when she finally came out from the back, never greeted us and we sure never had an opportunity to order any drinks. After almost 15 minutes of being ignored, and watching other folks get served, my friend insisted we wait in the restaurant lobby as we were definitely not going to be served. This should have been a clue and we should have left.
Service was slow but I will say our waitress was nice enough and appeared to be trying her best but the atmosphere and the food worked against her. Everyone in our group ordered steaks, 2 medium and 1 medium rare. The steaks all came out rare. Even after sending one of the steaks back for further time on the grill, it somehow still was rare.
I ate my rare steak, even though I ordered a medium, and found it very chewy (aged 40-days?) and had gristle. My dining partner never received his salad and odds were my other dining partner never had any alcohol in his hard Arnold Palmer (they called it a Tom Arnold).
Pretty disappointing experience.
Our server soon came to see us and take drink orders. They have a decent enough wine list so we ordered a bottle of the Kendall Jackson which the server brought out promptly and then took our food orders. We had salads that were fresh and tasty and had home made dressings. Steak is the important thing here, so one of us had the ribeye, we also ordered the barramundi and the chicken fried steak. The CFS had a really good creamy gravy over it and the mashed potatoes, fish came with a rice pilaf.
Everything we got was top notch, large enough servings but not overwhelming. The interior was bright and cheerful and all decorated for Christmas. They have a real stage coach as you enter the restaurant, really in beautiful condition.
The prices are fare considering the good food you get and the drinks from the bar as well as the great service from staff members.
We would dine here again based on this visit.
