We came in on a beautiful, snowy day for my mom’s birthday. Edwin was our server and he was friendly from the moment we walked in. We had the lobster bisque, birria tacos, garlic bread, branzino, Scottish salmon and the surf & turf burger + the blueberry lavender lemonade and Arnold Palmer. Everything was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was great. 10/10 would definitely come again.

I saw this place on Instagram, and was drawn in, right away. I brought my fiance here for a date. It was 1hr 45m drive, and worth every mile. I tried the Lobster Bomb, which is a bread bowl, loaded with lobster, and smothered in their homemade lobster bisque. It was delicious and buttery with lots of lobster.
The oysters were fresh and tasty. We ordered the garlic linguine, it was flavorful and fresh.
I’m so glad to have found this spot. I will be returning and I hope you will give them a try

First of all, I gave 1 star for Service doesn’t mean the server is not good. The server is actually nice. The 1 star is given based on a scene that our whole family witnessed just today. While we were chatting, we heard the sound of dropping utensils. I instinctively looked at the cleaning lady (they have cleaning staffs that organize tables and servers that takes order $ bring out food), I saw she picked up the towel, fork and knife from the ground that she almost stepped on it, and continued to fold it and put them back on the table. We were so disguised by such hygiene level! How could she not bring those utensils back to the kitchen to clean it and just picked up and reorganized right in front of customers. OMG the next customer taking that table might have diarrhea for using those dirty fork and knife. We definitely won’t come back anymore due to hygiene issue. The food is average. Fish & chips is a bit dark probably they reused and reused the frying oil and the taste of the cod seemed to be frozen food. The portion is kinda big though. Linguini in garlic sauce tastes fine. Soups are average, can’t go wrong with clam chowder and lobster bisque.

Went to Jack’s for the first time the other night and was blown away by the food. I had the crab cake with corn salsa and the lobster bisque soup (my favorite). We also ordered the garlic breadbasket which was amazing to dip in the soup. I finished my meal easily and wasn’t rushed out. Jack’s is cozy and decorated adorably. The owner is also very kind and pleasant to talk to. Would definitely recommend, can’t wait to come back!

Jack’s Surf & Turf in Montclair is that spot you didn’t know you needed until your first bite. From the lobster roll with bacon and bisque sauce to the kale Caesar that looked like a Parmesan blizzard everything was next level. The fish and chips were so crispy I almost asked for a passport to London. Their mango sangria? Dangerous in the best way possible. The Cioppino was rich, flavorful, and soul-warming easily my new winter go-to. And that Surf & Surf Burger? Whoever thought to combine lobster and beef deserves a medal.
The brownie sundae sealed the deal and had me rethinking my whole dessert priorities. If you love seafood, good vibes, and portions that respect your appetite, Jack’s Surf & Turf is the move every time.

We sat in the section down the steps and it was cold. The dishes were tasty- crispy onion rings, soft and crispy calamari and generous lobster on the rolls. But that brownie was a no for me. It was crumbly instead of soft. However, the hazelnut gelato was delish!

We went to Jack’s Surf & Turf for lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and the entire experience was absolutely outstanding.
Our waitress, Maria, was truly exceptional—warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. She made us feel celebrated from the moment we sat down, with just the right balance of professionalism and friendliness. Her service alone would bring us back. The food, however, took the experience to another level. The lobster empanada was perfect, generously filled, and bursting with flavor. And the lobster bomb was nothing short of spectacular—rich, indulgent, and cooked to perfection. Every bite felt like a celebration.Between the incredible food and Maria’s top-tier service, our anniversary lunch was memorable and special. Jack’s Surf & Turf exceeded every expectation, and we can’t wait to return. Highly, highly recommend.

I’ve always passed by Jack’s when coming into town & today was my first dine in experience. My waitress Bilge was phenomenal from start to finish. I ordered the Arnold Palmer & Crab Cake Sandwich; it was a 10 out 10. I will definitely come back again!
