Small town feel next to an antique store on the corner of 29 & 33 in Ruckersville. The burgers were amazing and the craft soda was a nice touch. The cinnamon donuts and ice cream shop were also fantastic. Parking is a little tight during busy times but usually a spot is open around back. It doesn’t look like much from the outside but definitely worth a lunch date or quick family stop.

Friendly employees. BBQ very good. My egg croissant was good and given what it was, cheese, buttery croissant, bacon I should have ordered a salad as was a lot of grease at once. It was fine if you’re up for that. Was disappointed in the fried pickles. Tasted over cooked, flavorless. The chunky potatoes were wonderful and the stand out. Loud space acoustically. Definitely would give it another go. I would just try something different next time and sit outside on a cool day. I give them five stars for using real glassware and silverware!!

Jack’s is much bigger inside than it looks from the outside. There is additional parking behind the building. It’s a not so fancy, seat yourself kind of place. It was filling up quickly but we found a tall bar-like table. My spouse needed to re-level it as it was very unstable. They offer some interesting menu items. Once we ordered, it took about 10 minutes to get our food. The Southwest Chicken Salad was very good. There were fresh (although large pieces) of lettuce which were awkward to eat without cutting them. The salad came with delicious grilled chicken pieces, avocado, radishes, corn, goat cheese, pickled onions, and Green Goddess Dressing topped with crunchy tortilla strips. It was served in a large bowl, and it seemed like a lot of food, but I managed to cram it all in! The Fried Green Tomato BLT was also tasty. The tomatoes were the perfect “un-ripeness” and came with a light, crispy cornmeal breading. The parmesan fries were just okay. It was a bit pricey for lunch – $60 for 3 people. We did enjoy the food, so we’ll be back.

Delicious food, wonderful service, and convenient location. Quite a large selection, almost everyone should find something like they like, from hearty southern comfort food to more refined breakfast offerings, everything was tasty. Abundant parking. Quick service as well. A hearty recommend if you happen to be in the area and hungry!

Scrumptious! Omg! Loved it. The fried goat cheese balls were a little peppery – but still yummy

We went here on Mother’s Day while they were offering a pre fixed menu.

We love the breakfast at Jack’s Shop! They never disappoint. I always get the Farmer’s Breakfast & my husband gets the waffle. Food is delicious, service is great & it’s always fun to visit when we are in town.

This is one of my favorite brunch spots to grab a quick bite of something tasty. There isn’t really “service” as you order at a counter, and they drop the food off to you, but that’s not a bad arrangement. The food here, though, is FANTASTIC. The truffled eggs Benedict are the best and my all-time favorite, but their seasonal specials never disappoint. They always use high-quality, fresh ingredients that are often local.

European atmosphere with the open counter ordering, you find your seat and they bring your meal to you. Plenty of seating both inside and out, and beautiful art of local artists available for sale around the venue. Very clean, and has a friendly atmosphere with helpful employees. Antique store is located both upstairs and downstairs.

The strawberry mimosa special was delicious, very sweet but I like that. I got the apple bacon grilled cheese on a recommendation and was skeptical, but it was so good! 11/10. My husband got the chicken sandwich and cucumber tomato salad and it was also very good. Everything we saw come out of the kitchen looked phenomenal and the staff was friendly. Will be back again.
