I visited Jake’s Place for breakfast in Old Town Alexandria this past Sunday, and I have to say, every meal was absolutely delicious! From the moment I walked in, the cozy atmosphere made me feel right at home. But I need to wait for a table. Totally worth it! The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared, truly a breakfast lover’s dream. I can’t wait to come back and try more of their menu. Highly recommend!

A very old quaint and local eatery. If you are looking for a small mom and pop type local “diner” restaurant to grab breakfast or a sandwich this is a great choice. Owned by a husband and wife couple, the place seats about 11 people in total. The place has been there 40+years and the young couple that own it now are great! We ordered the House omelettes and had to try one of their buttermilk pancakes. I would definitely go back!

Nice and cozy spot for a nice late breakfast. Great coffee too. Might even call it a hole in the wall type. Tightly situated with a barbershop next to it. Wife and I ordered the french toast with eggs and sausage and they couldnt have made it any better.

This is a tiny, and I mean TINY place that you will easily miss if not looking specifically for it. The staff were great, and my panini and hash brown were delicious.
The most surprising part is the cost! Quite easily half the price of any other restaurant in old town.

Nestled in the heart of town, Jack’s Place offers a delightful breakfast experience that feels like a warm hug from an old friend. This quaint restaurant boasts a charming ambiance that invites you to sit down and stay awhile. Upon entering, I was greeted by the owner, whose genuine friendliness and eagerness to engage in conversation added a personal touch that made the meal even more enjoyable.
The breakfast itself was nothing short of perfection. The eggs were cooked exactly to my liking, with a skillful touch that provided them with a silky, just-right texture. Accompanying the eggs, the bacon could be customized to how crispy or tender you prefer, and it was cooked precisely to order, offering a satisfying crunch with every bite.
A standout feature was their homemade sourdough bread. It was freshly baked, with a perfect crust that’s slightly chewy yet tender on the inside, making it a fantastic complement to the meal. The bread not only served as a testament to the restaurant’s commitment to quality but also elevated the entire breakfast experience.
Jack’s Place proves to be more than just a place to eat; it’s a little retreat where food is made with care, and the atmosphere is as comforting as the food. For anyone looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a perfectly cooked breakfast and a friendly chat, Jack’s Place is a must-visit.
