We were a little disappointed to see there is no longer a salad bar. Any pictures or reviews mentioning one must be older. Anyways. Waitress was very friendly. So was the bartender. The food was pretty good. Fish fry was pretty standard. Tartar sauce was really good. Burger was ok. If you’re in the area, its not a bad place.

Was craving some good bar food. This definitely hit the spot. Everything was perfect. Appetizers are perfectly portioned definitely a great helping and worth the price! The cheese curds!!!! So good. Even the deep fried mushrooms. I had a rib eye sandwich and everything was on point. Oooh my favorite was the Bloody Mary….. best I’ve had all year hands down one of my favorites. Had a great lunch and if I’m ever in the area again I’ll definitely be stopping again.

We were a group of 7 looking for dinner and not wanting a fast food chain. We Googled and found this place and the menu looked good. The atmosphere was clean with 2 ladies in a booth, a couple of guys at the bar and 5 people around another table. The tables we needed were not cleaned off from prior customers, so some of the patrons helped us clean off the tables so we could push them together. The waitress was very pleasant and took our drink order and then food order. We sat there for some time waiting for our food and were not checked on by the waitress. Eventually the two ladies from the booth wished us good luck and left the restaurant. We felt we had been forgotten even though the restaurant is very small and we also considered leaving. Shortly after that the waitress came out and asked us if the ladies left, which we replied yes. She said their food was on the way along with ours and stated they had a rush of customers. There were no additional customers that came in after our group. In the end we waited 1.5 hours for mediocre food.

I stopped for dinner on the road and was pleasantly surprised. The waitress was friendly and paid attention. The burger and fries were good, as were the onion rings stacked on the burger. The place was clean. Nice Job to the crew at this bar & grill.

Food was good. The atmosphere is very nice. Service was OK. Just a heads up that they don’t serve tap beer or cola from a fountain. Just cans or bottles.

We stopped here on the long drive from Minneapolis to Chicago and were so glad we did. The fish fry was amazing–we had the perch with baked potato and salad. My son’s burger and fries looked good as well. Service was friendly and very quick. We would stop here again on a similar trip.

Where to begin… Our waitress was so friendly and knew the menu inside out. She was always paying attention to the other guests as well as us and checked on us regularly. She was top-notch with her serving and customer service skills. The food was so good. I needed two to-go containers. I appreciate places like Jack’s or Better that have quality staff and menu. Definitely will be a repeat customer. 🙂
