Welcome to Jack’s on Main in Clayton Delaware , just 4 minutes from Smyrna, 15 minutes from Townsend and 30 minutes from Middletown, Dover and close to Kent & Cecil County MD. Customers have found us as well! The restaurant specializes in serving dishes made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. We are small but mighty with an open kitchen concept allowing diners to see the chef/owner at work, which creates transparency and a unique dining experience. It also encourages communication between guests and staff, fostering a connection to the food being prepared. We only serve food that is fresh, high-quality ingredients, keep dishes simple yet flavorful. Think grilled vegetables, handmade pastas, seasonal salads, and house-made sauces.

The food was delicious. I had the pork belly for starters which included green apple slaw. I had Jack’s trio which included a crab cake, shrimp, scallops, mashed potatoes, and green beans. Everything was cooked perfectly. I didn’t need to add any extra seasoning. Our waitress Maggie was so friendly and inviting. She was also very knowledgeable. We will definitely be going back soon.

We had a great experience at Jack’s on Main. It is hard to find, though. The GPS kept taking us other places. It is very small inside, so you should definitely get a reservation or call ahead to check. The service was great and the food was delicious. There were some creative things on the menu like the baked brie appetizer that were an absolute delicious combination of flavors. This little place is a definite recommend from me.

It was truly a wonderful dining experience. Matthew, the owner/ chef, his daughter and the rest of the team were exceptional people. Very warm and friendly. If you’ve never been here, you should make it a point to dine here. Reservations are highly recommended. My wife and I will be back, as there are many other dishes we want to try.

Excellent dinner! The restaurant is really cool. We were able to watch the chef cook our dinner. Food was delicious. Our favorite was the hot honey scallops. They don’t have their liquor license yet, but I can’t wait to see what they come up with. I would definitely go back.

Amazing food, great atmosphere and love how personal and cozy it feels. We were able to talk to the chef and it was a great interaction. The scallops with the broth, wonderful! Wish we would have come here sooner! We will be back, for sure!

Had a great Valentine’s Day dinner at Jack’s, an adorable out-of-the-way location that makes it feel like an adventure. We had the scallops appetizer, then filet mignon, crabcakes, and shrimp, along with potato and vegetable sides, and it was all perfectly done. Cool, intimate spot for a special night out.
