For starters – egg everything bagel was on point. Breakfast sando came out quick and it looked like there was some high quality bread for subs on deck for people scouting out lunch options. I read the reviews on the poor service but at the end of the day it was simple and too the point so no complaints from me!

Best breakfast sandwiches on the island! All their food is great. I’m shocked by all these reviews about the service, couldn’t disagree more. Jack is a great guy, my husband loves going in to get our order just to say hi to him. He’s always been cordial to us but with a gritty Classic New Yorker vibe. It’s not fancy – and that’s what makes it great.

These comments about the owner or staff are meaningless the second you try the sandwiches. Sure the guys salt of the earth, and his demeanor can come off as such but trust me if you can get past it you’re in for treat. The bagels are incredible, the hoagies are everything you could ever want, and the cheese steak is actually insane. If you’re smart you’ll get a pastrami special with coleslaw , Russian and Swiss. The owner is so rude. I’ve heard good things about the food and with it being off season, it’s a pretty fair question to want to know if a shop is open or not considering more than half the island isn’t. I politely called and asked if they were open before making the drive and the owner so rudely says “well I answered the phone, didn’t I?”. He missed out on a lot of business that day from a lot of people. Don’t run a business if you can’t treat people with respect.

Owner is rude. There are no free refills on coffee. Owner said it is to expensive. Hero was good but 15$ for a regular Philly cheese steak is .. insane .. Owner did charge me for a small cup of coffee x2 for the two refills ..Sandwich did taste good. Props on that. I wouldn’t come back.

I spoke to Jack from Jack’s NYC Bagels and Deli. I’m visiting LBI and staying at the Sea Shell Resort for a wedding. I called to place an order for delivery and had a great experience. You will appreciate doing business with them. I don’t leave many reviews but the quality of the food and the experience from the moment you order right through the delivery process was exceptional. If you want to support a business that has an incredible people working there with great food then this is the place to buy Bagels on LBI.

It’s a shame to me that you can’t leave zero stars as a review because maybe then the owner will get his head out of his tail and realize his shop sucks! Not only are their customer service and organizational skills both poor, but this may be one of the worst bagels I’ve ever had in this great state. My whole wheat everything bagel honestly tasted like it was ripped off a cardboard box and lathered with cream cheese, almost making it impossible to bite into. The owner was giving customers making big orders attitude and tbh you would think he’d be a little bit more appreciative to have customers to give stale bags to, especially with how bad every aspect of his store is. Just hard to believe anyone would want to open a store just to run it so unsuccessfully, then treat people who pay your bills and keep your lights on with such disrespect. And honestly, with how poorly this place is run, I wouldn’t be surprised if the only thing they’re good at is wasting people’s time, being rude, and ruining appetites with stale bagels.

every time me and my friends step into this bagel shop the customer service is horrible. the cashier is absolutely rude and dismissive and just looks like she wants to throw you out of the store. if you want a normal experience on getting a bagel on the go, don’t go here, they are also always sold out of the plain bagels? this is a bagel shop!! restock its 12pm! do not recommended go down the street for better.
