Business Beat: Jack’s New York System, a dream come true
Reviews
The other New York system in Cranston on Reservoir Avenue is atrocious their meat sauce is watery, the wieners over cooked or under cooked, onions are cut too big, too much mustard and they are always inconsistent.
Thank goodness for Jacks!! The owner has over 20 years of NYS weiner experience and knows how to make them the way they are supposed to be made.
I ordered 2 all the way a lil extra celery salt to start, they were so good that I ordered the 3rd. That’s why you only see 1 in the picture.
I’m a happy diner and will be back weekly, if you’re craving hot weiners pop into Jack’s NYS and be ready to be impressed.
Easy on street parking on Park avenue near intersection of Pontiac.

Restaurant is clean and inviting. Food taste fresh. Fries were just a tad over cooked but I ate every bite.
The owners were attentive and very inviting. Great conversation and very family oriented.
Thank you guys soooo much for your wonderful hospitality.
We sought out Jacks based on location and reviews and we were not disappointed!
This small dineresque vibe was easy to find with easy parking available. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by the staff and offered a table. There were lots of locals there, sitting at the counter stools or at one of the few booth style tables.
We ordered a couple “all the way” weenies with a side of fries, and of course a large coffee milk, which is served “on tap”. While we waited, we took in the many photos and decor of Jacks. It’s small space was filled with photos of customers and lots of red nostalgia – it felt like stepping into earlier days.
Our food was fast and hot, and served with a smile! The fries were a perfect golden crisp and begged for a splash of malt vinegar, available at our table. These are real, hand cut fries from fresh potatoes and not some pre-frozen food service fries. Excellent!!!
The weenies were hefty with meat sauce, onions and mustard, buns softly steamed.
So glad we found this spot and we enjoyed every aspect.
I check these places out due to that claim.
I guess it’s supposed to mimic old school diners.
Although I am not old enough to remember when they looked like this.
This place is a great example of how they should look. A little gem on Park Ave. Small exterior, you can miss driving by. Downfall are the early hours.
This place was ridiculously clean. Have never been to a place so immaculate. Makes you feel safe about anything they’re cooking.
Saw in another review they make fresh cut fries.
Ordered the “special” 2 Hot Dogs “All the way” with fries and a drink. Great value.
The hot dogs were plump and good flavoring.
The fries were fresh cut and crispy!
Definitely a spot worth trying for a bite.
I’m from out of town, traveling around the country solo. I was told RI is known for their hot weiners, and I went to three spots altogether, and Jack’s was the best. Food was A+, prices were great, but Jack’s also has the most charming service in all of Rhode Island. The moment I sat down I felt like I was in the tv show “Bob’s Burgers.” I was the only person in there who wasn’t a regular, and every person who came in treated me like I’d been coming in for years. The two people working were the owner (I think his name was in fact Jack) and his daughter — he apparently always wanted to open a hot weiner spot, and so he’s living out a dream right now.
Thanks for the warm hospitality, I will be back!
