I thought the Connecticut roll and shrimp tacos were fantastic. No frills on this roll. Straight up lobster on a roll with warm butter. It was packed and worth it. Shrimp tacos were also very good. Not spicy at all filled with shrimp and not over killed with sauces. You can taste everything perfectly. Only thing hard about this place is seating. Not much of it maybe 6 tables. At lunch you will hit the ridgewood mom crowd that takes up residency with half the tables chatting away with little to no consideration of others. There are some tables outside but nothing to save you from the rain. Loved it and I’ll be back.

My wife and I always passed by Edgewater and noticed Jack’s Lobster Shack. I visited their website and saw that they just opened a new locale in Ridgewood called Jack’s Lobster Rolls. So off to Ridgewood to try it out.
My wife and I ordered 2 combos. I got the Connecticut Lobster Roll and she got Maine Lobster Roll. It came with cole slaw and Cape Cod kettle chips.
The lobster were fresh & tasty, the bread was toasted and buttered to perfection. Cole slaw was amazing, full of flavor, and did not taste too “Mayonnaisey”. Overall it was a delicious experience. No, we want to stop by Edgewater’s Jack’s Lobster Shack, it seems their menu much more intensive.

For the price. You aren’t getting enough quantity in the lobster roll sandwich. For $17 it was quite skimpy. The roll of bread could be larger. Since the bread roll is so small it looks over packed. Taste is great although they have a choice of the Maine and Connecticut. I ordered both and they basically tasted the same. I wouldn’t go back here if I was starving.

Superb Maine style lobster roll. The lobster was cooked just enough to keep its sweetness and juices and was clearly very fresh meat. Perfect amount of light seasoning and mayo so the lobster stays in the spotlight. Bun was toasted, but not dried out. Crisp and chewy.
Don’t overlook other items. The shrimp tacos were plump, delicately flavored, with a mix of balanced textures. One of the best tacos I’ve ever had.
Already looking forward to the next visit.

My husband and I stopped by here after an appointment. We had the Connecticut lobster roll, shrimp tacos, truffle lobster mac and cheese which had lots of lobster meat (mostly from the claws) and butter! The staff was nice and attentive. And the food was definitely delish!

Kind of skimpy in the quantity department for what you are paying, but the flavor was good. We were a bit disappointed that we all got shells in the rolls/salad. The kids grilled cheese sandwiches were very good and they really enjoyed them. I would ho back but only to try the soups and give them a chance, hoping to get no shells!

I’ve been to Jack’s lobster shack in Edgewater, this is a smaller menu version that feels like a stand you might see up in New England serving fresh seafood.
There is limited seating and you order at the counter then find a seat or take it to go.
I got the lobster bisque which was tasty and had a good amount of lobster in it, my one nitpick is that the lobster was cool in a warm bisque.
I also had the shrimp tacos which were fantastic! The red cabbage really worked well with the slight spicyness of the pico and sauce on top with a good helping of shrimp and avocado.
My wife got the Connecticut lobster roll which was warm and buttery and perfect.
My one kid had a grilled cheese which was delightfully gooey, I finished off what she didn’t eat by dipping it in the bisque. Really they should offer a combo of grilled cheese and soup! It was wonderful together.
My other child liked the truffle Mac and cheese, I tried it and it had a strong truffle flavor and a nice crunchy cheese crust which I like on this dish.
Overall a great place, I would definitely be coming back again

I dont know how this got 5 stars. Too expensive for cheap shredded lobster. Lobster roll is made with whole lobster pieces not shredded. Also, the bun was stale. Very disappointed..they should sample East Coast Burger or Legal Seafoods to enjoy a real lobster roll.

Just ordered a very disappointing meal from here. Very tasteless bread soup bowl. Best part about it was slathering the bread with butter after eating the tasteless seafood chowder soup. ☹️
Also a Lobster Cobb salad with iceberg lettuce came with pretty tasteless vinegrette dressing. Not pleased at all.
