I tried this for the first time this month and I would say quite delicious. Nice staff and very helpful, voice your concerns and ask questions, they were patient with me (I asked lots of questions on the different items, they were very helpful). Also super authentic everything made in house!!

Pizza Rolls truly a Detroit thing invented for the Auto Worker’s, that’s a story for another day I know the history. Many don’t know Jack’s started in Taylor before moving to Melvindale. So 44 Year’s going strong since 1978 a true Downriver Classic.
Nestled in a small building with a green awning on Allen Rd. is a family-run bakery with a passionate following. It’s called Jack’s Italian Bakery, now operation run by Jack’s son doing a great job. Always a group of Friendly helpful ladies and super great prices. The Pepperoni Roll with Cheese my Addiction that you must try one, they warm it for you. Just one is a full delicious meal for me it’s huge. So get this a Roll, Big 24 oz Pepsi n Walnut Dessert Bar only $ 9.75 out the door OMG. Cheaper than a fast food combo and the Pepperoni is heavily packed inside with Cheese. Sure everyone has a favorite spot, been to them all. My favorite and your loss if you decide not to try. #jacksitalianbakery

My first time here at Jack’s Italian Bakery. I’ve passed by many times and now that I have tried it, I wish I had stopped in sooner. I purchased a little bit of everything and everything that I tried was very good. The cannoli cream cartucci was very decadent and rich. The pastry for the Kifli (angel wings) was excellent. Great oatmeal raisin cookies. The strudels looked very good and I look forward to trying one on a future visit.
