My buddy and I spent the day riding Mt Bikes in Santa Cruz. I’m not completely sure where we were riding but it was just above the ocean and we eventually rode past an area growing huge brussell sprouts. And we got to witness another biker crash into a huge puddle so the day was very entertaining. Before driving home we stopped for a bite at Jacks and it’s the perfect local burger joint in Santa Cruz. If I lived here, I’d come to Jacks all the time. The fries are great, the burgers are great and the ambiance is perfect. We sat outside and felt our day could not have gone better.

Burgers are absolutely good! Dog friendly and has a parking lot with a few spots at the back. It has outdoor sitting and nice folks working there.
However no public restrooms, if you go from the beach directly there don’t expect to find a sink to wash your hands. They could put at least some public sink for folks to wash their hands. There was a sanitizer machine though and it was working .
It had lots of shady outdoor sitting area.

Hands down the best regular cheeseburger sold im santa cruz. Especially for the price. A burger and basket was about $12 which these days is a good deal. The meat is nice and juicy and the produce is crisp and fresh. Also good fried. The other things ive had there are pretty damn good too but I keep coming back for the regular cheeseburger.

The diablo burger is one of the best from their menu. I really enjoyed the bacon, avocado and jalapenos. Size of the burger is good and they give a lot of french fries. Also, staff is friendly and helpful.

Wonderful little burger place in downtown Santa Cruz! You can’t go wrong with Jack’s , they’re a popular delicious stop when you’re craving a good burger or sandwich. Lots of delicious options and wonderful staff to take your order. You can sit outside or inside to enjoy your meal.

It was wonderful. The food was very good! Definitely would return. Their only downside…. it is small. But it does have outdoor eating as well. Parking cost unless you are lucky enough to bav the 5 available for the actual establishment. None the less… It’s worth it. Classic, tasty, friendly!

Great little spot near downtown! We stayed in Santa Cruz for three days and ended up eating here twice because the food was just that good. The burgers are always made fresh and come out piping hot, and the homemade sauce is insanely good. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area!

I live right down the street and just had this classic for the first time! Yum it was great, probably the best burger I’ve had in town and if you come during the happy hour great prices as well. The fries were bland but add some salt and pepper and they are pretty good. A solid burger can’t beat the price!

A sweet burger place right in the center of santa cruz! They even got their own parking lot which is really cool! I dont understand their no dogs allowed sign since its mainly outdoors where you collect your food and you eat them! Cashier had a hard time communicating my order but it was still accurate. The sandwiches are super good, just the right crunch on the fish sandwich! Maybe next time I’ll try the burgers too!

I love the taste of Jacks Burgers! Solid burger and solid fries. A number of years ago we had bought Jacks for the whole crew and found some baby roaches in the deliver box, in the seams of the cardboard. We are mechanics and shrugged it off to not great but nothing in the food. (They did end up infesting my break room and it took a couple months to get rid of them) Fast forward to now, again roaches! I am bummed that it has not been taken care of. Please clean up the kitchen and get rid of them. I don’t want something crunchy in my burger!
