I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this Jack’s location in Meridian, MS. Probably one of the worst dining and food experiences I’ve ever had. I travel for work and have eaten at multiple different chains all over the country. I’ll be sure to tell everyone I meet to avoid Jacks. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that professional standards don’t exist here.
-Service & Staff: The staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. Beyond the poor attitude, the kitchen staff were “sagging” their pants while handling food, which is both unprofessional and a major hygiene concern. The male bathroom soap dispenser was on the counter and was very low on soap. Hopefully the kitchen soap dispensers were full.
-Cleanliness: The facility was nasty and unsanitary. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in hours—sticky surfaces and visible grime everywhere.
-Wait Times & Availability: They were out of multiple basic menu items. Despite only ordering two fried chicken sandwich combos with fries and sweet tea at 7:36pm, we received our food at 8:09pm. One of the sandwiches was wrong and a grilled chicken. There were two other parties in front of us. We were not told there would be a wait nor if they were short staffed.
Food quality: The one fried chicken sandwich we received was good, hot, and tasted fresh however was very plain and lacking given the price of the $8.19 combo. Fries were fresh but needed seasoning. Grilled chicken sandwich was good and hot. Despite this, not worth the 33 minute wait we experienced. Additionally, my father who ordered multiple bacon cheeseburgers after us received his burgers with no bacon and complained his burgers were cold.

The food was great my mom and I had the fried chicken, my son had the cheeseburger and my daughter had the chicken fingers. Jack’s gives a 10% military discount so I’ve got to support those that support me and my military family. Such a good thing to know. The food is great and seasoned.

Stopped in to pickup new catfish offer. The atmosphere was awesome. The staff is friendly and well trained. The catfish dinner plate was delicious. Once again Jack’s has exceeded my expectations, and the price, very affordable. I will be returning every chance I get.

My experience at jacks is great people. Great food. Great service!!!! They have really gotten there people together. They have a great team now. Everyone working together. TEAM work is always for excellence!!! Great place for breakfast on the weekday and weekends. Glad to see Jacks Stong producing greatness!!!!

I love this Jack’s location! The employees are always friendly and welcome you in and treat you like family. Prices are very affordable compared to other fast food restaurants. The atmosphere is great and the food is always awesome.

I was throughly impressed with the cleanliness of the lobby and the front cashiers registers. This morning group, Francesca, Rachel, Tyshaela, Arthur, and Tayvion made this experience very rewarding. I had a really bad experience with Jack’s yesterday. I ordered the 3-piece chicken and paid the upcharge on each piece to get 3 breasts instead of the mixed chicken. I don’t eat the dark chicken. This was a to go order. What I received was 2 breasts and 1 thigh. All had been under the heat lamp for way too long. It was so dried out and crust was so hard in places that I couldn’t eat parts of it. And the potato and gravy cups were less than half full. What makes this so bad is that it’s happened before. This has happened on 2 of my last 3 to go orders. This time I took some pics before I ate what I could and threw away the rest. 2 out of 3 bad to go orders makes me believe that they’re saving the old chicken that should be tossed and using it for to go orders. This shouldn’t be happening.
Update: Jack’s manager got in touch and replaced the meal. The replacement was very good!
Update 8-7-2025: Service and quality has improved. And I’ve started back up with them. 4 out of 5 meals are pretty good. But they still need to work on that! EVERY meal should be good quality. I shouldn’t be getting chicken that’s been under the heat lamp for hours 1 out of 5 times. But I do understand that they’re working on it and have raised my rating for them.

We had a really awful experience with Jacks today in Meridian, Miss. No ice, ran out of pies, and the bathroom (womens) looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks.
It’s sad because we have always enjoyed visiting Jacks when we come to visit my in-laws.
Btw, my husband noticed the manager sitting at a table on her tablet.
I understand things like running out of pies or sauces, that all have to come from a supplier. However, she could have gone next door and bought some bags of ice with petty cash.
