I am extremely dissatisfied with my recent experience at the Jack’s location in Trussville, Alabama.
The employee taking orders displayed an unprofessional and unpleasant attitude and appeared to lack basic knowledge of the menu. I requested a two-hamburger meal, which is a valid request. I am familiar with Jack’s menu and operations, as I am an employee of Jack’s myself and understand both corporate and home office standards. Jack’s offers hamburger options in addition to cheeseburgers to accommodate customers with dietary restrictions, including dairy allergies.
Despite this, the employee insisted that no hamburger meal existed and incorrectly attempted to charge me for two kids’ meals, then stated she would “make them large.” There is no such thing as a “large kids’ meal,” which makes the situation even more concerning. The entire interaction felt dismissive and misleading, as though I was expected to accept an incorrect order and inflated pricing without question.
This experience reflects poorly on the Trussville location. Proper training, menu knowledge, and customer service standards clearly need to be reinforced. Customers should not have to argue for accurate ordering or feel disrespected while simply trying to purchase a basic menu item.
The location is also lacking proper lighting in the parking lot, as well as the fries seeming as the food not being the best of quality.
I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the professionalism and training issues at this location.

Our second try at this location, and another bad experience, Which tells us this is the norm here.

Got our food in the drive through, checked we had everything, and drove all the way home just to find our corn dog meal was literally 2 old, wrinkly and burnt to a crisp corndogs that were inedible. It was dark so we hadn’t noticed at the restaurant.

Had to drive all the way back, wait in a line of cars for far too long, just to get to the window and have a scowling woman bring me the re made food and give me extra attitude when I asked for the ranch.

Zero apology, acted inconvenienced about doing the job right when what they handed to us 30 mins earlier was complete garbage, and they knew it since they didn’t even ask for the old bag. We’re done at this location, it’s just getting worse, and they don’t care.

Good food. Put my order in the app while in the parking lot at the Crestwood/Irondale location..but my order was for Gadsden Hwy location! Had to drive to the Trussville location and they even remade my shake for me since it took me over 30 minutes through rush hour traffic to get there… Thank you, guys for awesome service!

For 2 people eating from Jack’s the total shouldn’t have been 19.86 in all especially for breakfast… The lady taking the orders was BEYOND nice. But the food . The food was cold. I asked for a sausage biscuit with my order never received it. My mom asked for the plate with the biscuit and gravy with grits and as you can see from the pictures this food wasn’t 19.86 or wasn’t worth that…. I ended up throwing the food I had away and the other half to the birds so did my mom…. Just a waste of time and money.

I went through the drive thru and ordered two meals and a dessert; however, when I got home I didn’t have my sauce nor my dessert. I called the store, spoke to the manager and informed her of the concerns. She told me to return, she made a replacement meal (since she knew my original meal would be cold), and corrected my reported concerns. Upon entering the store, she greeted not only me but other customers with a smile while she took their orders. She apologized for the situation, thanked me for returning, and allowing them to correct my concern. I haven’t experienced staff who apologized for their mistakes while smiling. She was pleasant and considerate, and I would return again because of how she treated me and addressed my concern.

Walked in at 9:37am, drive through around the building. One person working taking coffee out to people sitting and 8 other people doing nothing. Stood at the register for 8 minutes with multiple employees looking at me never acknowledging myself or the other people there. “Manager” tried to look important walking around with a clipboard and did absolutely nothing. Listening to the conversations the new girl Mya just walked off the register and didn’t say anything yet bit a single other employee could hop on the register to help customers. Drive by this everyday but I’ll continue on down 11 to the deer foot location because the employees at this one are worthless and could care less about doing what they are paid to do.

This has to be the absolute worst Jacks anywhere around! We came in and ordered our food. When they had our food ready I asked for some jelly to which the rude woman behind the counter said “is there not any out there”? So we went to sit down and couldn’t find a clean table. But managed to clean one ourselves. The biscuits were very over baked, the eggs were dry, and horrible, the grits tasted very burnt! My sister found a hair in her biscuit. She took it to the counter to get a new biscuit. She said that she knew it wasn’t my hair or hers as it was a black hair. She is a red head and I am strawberry blond. The woman behind the counter said that it couldn’t have been their hair because they were wearing hair nets.
The crew found this hysterical! After my sister got her biscuit and was walking back to our table, the whole restaurant could hear the crew laughing and making fun of the hair in her food. Not sure why they found it so funny!!! The crew was having a great time laughing and cutting up. But couldn’t clean, stock and make sure the food was prepared correctly!

After we left the restaurant we called the restaurant to get the district managers phone number. We got the woman who was making fun of the hair in the biscuit. She refused to give the phone number and she claimed she was the GM.

After all is said and done I am sick! I have went to the hospital and I have food poisoning!

We ordered from the catering menu : fried chicken and chicken tenders and biscuits for our church potluck. The staff was friendly, the food was delicious and everything was ready on time. I highly recommend a 10 out of 10 they even gave us a 20% discount.

I spend my hard earned money here so that my wife and myself can eat dinner tonight and what do we get once we got home fried chicken that has sat under the heat lamp all day not even half a bowl of green beans and Mac n cheese so watery I could strain the noodles through a damn strainer it’ll be a while before I go back
