The Asst Mgr was at the register, and essentially ignored us for the first 3 mins. When she finally acknowledged us, she was courteous but not friendly. Another woman was there, ans she was much much more welcoming.
Our chicken fingers were dry, but the chicken sandwich was very fresh and hot. The fries were also nice and hot.

We like to try local restaurants and chains while traveling. We stopped at Jack’s in Bessemer and it was honestly a terrible experience. We placed our order at the counter and waited. And waited. And waited. Finally, the manager I formed us that the “grease” had to be replaced in the fryer because it was bad. Also said it would only be a few minutes so we agreed. Exactly 30 minutes after we placed the order, it was finally ready. My wife had chicken tenders which were fresh and hot. I had a chicken sandwich that was cold and evidently been fried in the bad oil. It wasn’t fit to eat. The fries had been cooked for a while and were so salty they were inedible.
After this experience, I started looking around the restaurant and we agreed that it was the nastiest place we’d been in- Period
There were 6-7 employees and we were the only customers in the place, so it wasn’t like they were busy. I would never recommend eating at this location. And I don’t understand how the health department hasn’t shut it down for a thorough cleaning. It also stinks in the dining room. Why am I forced to give it even a single star?

First time here, It was alright. We stopped for breakfast. the biscuits where warm and filling. The meat inside was a bit limited. I wouldn’t call it a 1:1 ratio meat to biscuit. The hash browns where a little stale or they used old grease. The staff had a poor attitude the girl at the window had swollen eyes like she was up all night and didn’t want to be there at all. I would be willing to try it again it has potential.

It has been 5 years, so I visited again… I’m adding a picture of the breakfast wrap my wife got, which is smaller than a Roku remote….and other tiny things… pathetic.
My steak biscuit, they clearly changed the steak patty to be less, about the size of a sausage.
The only reason I went here was the one by Town and Country verbally told an 80 year old couple that they don’t serve “their kind” here…. They were wearing a Christian shirt, white people. That’s not ok.

Service and accuracy leaves a lot to be desired. I’ve told the gm twice, with clear evidence in front of him… Even district managers. I even caught this on dash cam….
The Bessemer stores keep messing up, so they are either messing a whole lot of orders, or they are targeting me.

I had to wait for my meal which was placed via their app and no one asked to help me. I stood by the online pickup location then walked to the counter (where another guy waited as well). A female walked by after taking food to a drive through line and that’s when I stopped and asked her about my online order. This happens at multiple Jacks in the Birmingham area not in Trussville. Jack’s need to be more organized, trained on customer services & assist those waiting for online orders. Workers just standing there watching without a thought to asked what people need help with standing at the counter is incredibly frustrating and unacceptable.

Nasty. Filthy. No customer service at all. This is the Worst Jack’s I’ve been too. Drive thru intercom doesn’t work so you have to go in. Walk in and there’s trash, tea stains, drink stains, all over the counter and floor. There was only 2 customers including myself, so there was time to clean up. Sweet tea needed to be refilled as it was out, but instead of cleaning, they’re behind the counter twisting their hair, no gloves, talking about nothing. It’s horrible how you expect people to spend money with you but you won’t even employee people that care about service and how the location looks.
