I have downloaded the app and created my profile so I could order online. I made my order. The first hamburger I ate this weird onion taste to it, and I am allergic to onions.
Then, I took a break before getting to my second burger. When I finally got to my second burger, I FOUND A CIRCULAR WET SPOT TO THE SIDE OF MY BOTTOM BUN THAT HAD A SLIMY CONSISTENCY AND WAS DARK. I took out my camera phone and the recording and documenting. While recording, I took the burger back over to that same manager to show her what I found. The only thing she did was take the burger, throw it away and tell me that she would have me another one made. NOTHING SAID TO THE GRILL COOKS IN THE BACK. I am so happy that I was able to see the sandwich making from the counter. At first, a young, white male worker named Shane was back there getting ready to make my burger, then, this young black male worker named Willis peered from the very back to make my burger, and Shane stepped away to let him.
I stopped everything. And then I called out to the manager that was at the order prep area with the new cashier who was supposed to be making my burger. She turned and looked and was going to name Shane, but then looked shocked when she finally realized that it was going to be Willis instead. So, she told me that it was Shane, but she guessed now it was going to be Willis. While back there, Willis gave me this evil, sinister smile. So, I asked the manager, “Could we keep it the young, white male worker?” Then she called over to Shane the worker and told him to tell Willis that he was going to make the burger instead of him. I watched the interactions. Willis gave this disappointed, yet ridiculing laugh and smile, as if he was shocked that I would have the self-esteem to get stern about my food. The other manager that was having a little get together, came up and was watching the burger being made. I cannot remember what exactly I said, but I do know that I recorded that whole interaction. But I had said something about Willis not making my food. The other manager had asked me what l had said, I guess, wanting clarity on what l was talking about. I was not gonna stutter or try to minimize or sugarcoat anything I had to say. I explained to her what happened to what I noticed and how I was not gonna tolerate it. One thing I didn’t notice though: in the middle of me explaining what took place, she turns her back to me as if to want to avoid what I had to say. After they gave me my burger, I took it back outside and began eating it after I thoroughly checked that. I am quite sure that Willis was on the clock when he did this, but while I was sitting on the porch on one of the rocking chairs eating, my food outside is if I have no human rights, we decide to walk from the back where the drive-through is towards the front what does evil ridiculing smile as if he wants to taunt me about what he did. While he is walking and talking on his cell phone.
Then, he walked into the front entrance. So, I pulled out my camera on again and began a recording and documenting about what he just did. Right in the middle of my recording he came from the back walking through the drive-thru towards the front towards me again but this time I was recording that. Oh, this time his smile died when he saw my camera phone up at him. Then, he walked back inside the restaurant, not doing it again.
Some minutes later, I had walked back inside to get a refill on my sweet tea, and while getting my refill, he is still looking at me with that hateful smile and laugh. But apparently, cracking jokes with that same manager that did not want to listen to me about what he did. Apparently the people who work here see me do not have any worth, oh, my money does. And all I am worth is spit, hate, and ridicule. Then, I was so upset about the situation, I used speech to text to write my whole complaint and had a bunch of mistypes. Thanks for reminding me of my lack of worth.
I had never been to Jack’s before, and I initially thought this was going to be an easy 5-star review, but surprisingly, I had to give a 4-star.
I had a burger, fries, and some shared chicken tenders. Despite having everything freshly prepared…and eating in the restaurant… the food was barely luke warm. I had my burger immediately, and yet it was barely warm. The same was true for the fries and the chicken.
I would try this place again as I hope this was just a one-off event.
They now have a fried bologna breakfast sandwich that is delicious!
