Went to do a pick up order and the bartender with short hair older women was the rudest! I don’t know if she was drinking on the job or what, but she insisted she asked my husband for his name and yet still couldn’t find the order, then proceeded to give me an attitude to the point where her own waitresses I had to make sure I was OK definitely would not be going back there again. There’s plenty of restaurants to get decent seafood from in Rhode Island..

I’ve been here 3 times , the first was good, the second was kinda bad, the third was awful. My bf and I waited an hour for our food. (The restaurant was not busy, there were only a few tables, but only one waitress) my bf got chicken parmesan and I got chicken piccata. After an hour wait, the chicken parm had a weird taste. The chicken itself tasted really sweet almost like it had gone bad and there was so much sauce which was very bland, the dish had no flavor or seasoning. The chicken piccata was drowned in sauce , it was like a soup, I had to drain the liquid in order to eat it and I seriously think there was close to 8oz of liquid that I drained. The chicken itself was just ok, not good. Not worth waiting an hour for, after picking at our food for 10mins our waitress came over and we told her our frustrations. She apologized and brought the dishes to the chef. She came back and said “the cook tasted both plates and said it was fine and she would eat it. So there’s not much I can do besides take a few dollars off the bill” she ended up taking exactly $5.00 off the bill. We obviously didnt want to take the leftovers home since we didn’t want to get sick from the chicken. And we still tipped 10% because the waitress deserved a tip still. We ended up paying with tip and their “discount” over 50 dollars for waiting an hour for inedible food. We obviously will never be going here again. I encourage the owners if they are reading this to do better and to listen to customers when they complain about the food. Saying “the chef said she would eat it” as an excuse is unacceptable. We obviously would have appreciated them taking more off the bill after the wait and the fact we barely ate the food, but the response to the complaint is the reason we wouldn’t be returning.

Jack’s family restaurant was a place my family visited weekly years ago. We were back in the area and decided to give it a try. Well let me say the pork and little necks was delicious. Probably the best I have ever had. The marinade was so tasty. We also got fish and chips, smelts and pasta…all excellent. The service was great considering there was only one waitress. Very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return to Jack’s family restaurant in Warren, Rhode Island.

Waited 15 minutes to be seated . Had to get menus myself. Tried to order one of thier signature sangria they didn’t have the ingredients for it . Waited 45 minutes for our food which was subpar . The veal parm was tough and overly sauced . And the chicken franchise had so much butter it turned your stomach. Place was understaffed cook coming out and telling the one waitress not to seat anyone else in a dining room of almost all empty tables . Was the first and last time for us

I used to go here years ago.,visiting from Florida and was surprised by the quality of the food.
I ordered the god father. The sauce was obviously pretty old and reheated many times. Meatballs were cold and devoid of any real taste. The deep fried chicken was thin, dry and to tough to eat. Reheated fried chicken. Sausage just tasted old. Pasta was pretty good. The over all experience was pretty rushed. Reheated to many times to be worth anything! Sad really back in the day it was amazing. 2 stars is being generous… sorry
