Jacks Burger Shack was very good. They mention celiac on the menu. All but 3 burgers can be made gluten free. They can tell you which ones if you ask. The fries are made in a dedicated fryer. They wouldn’t guarantee anything (like pretty well anywhere) but they were able to explain the precautions they take if you say you have celiac. I’m very reactive to cross contamination and I did not get sick. The food is absolutely delicious. There is not a lot of room to dine in when they’re busy but luckily a table opened up before out food was ready. Will definitely go again. The gluten free bun was very good. I’ve never seen that kind of bun before and would like to know where they get them from.

Such a great spot for a burger & some yummy treats! Theres an amazing kind crew there that is just so helpful & efficient! You got to try the dole whip ice-cream when it’s their special!!!! So good!!!!
My fave is the bbq crunch burger or hangover burger – those are always a good time and don’t forget the captain crunch milk shake. Out of this world. Highly recommend this yummy establishment filled with variety of choices for burgers, fries, milkshakes and all things good to make you smile!!!

Let me start by applauding the team on their exceptional customer service. We had allergy concerns and they verified with us multiple times to make sure they had them down right. Thank you!!!!! The burgers were YUMMY. Everything tasted fresh, buns were soft, toppings were bussing. We had an amazing dinner here! Kudos to the whole team. Try the burger with the peanut butter.

Burger was burnt, and their idea of a Ceasar salad is a head of lettuce chopped in half, drowning in dressing with bacon bits sprinkled.

Great quick lunch option. They have a gluten free bun option which was delicious. Could try a double next time. The gluten free chicken tenders were amazing. The sauce was very tasty. Absolutely LOVED that they had a dedicated frier for fries. Will definitely be back again.

I’ve heard great things about this place and finally tried it out. First, great price, huge burger for $12.50. Secondly it tastes delicious. I like how soft the bun was! I got the the shroom burger and it was absolutely delicious. It tastes very “homemade” I can see why people rave about this place!

First time at Jacks and it was amazing! Has an old mom & pop cafe feel to it. Milkshakes were delicious with many different house hold combos to choose from. Burger selection was also great too, really enjoyed the way they cooked their beef patties!

Waited a long time to visit here, parking can be a challenge. There are many choices on a blackboard which are very hard to see. There are no combos which makes for a very expensive lunch, BBQ crunch burger, fries and a drink was over $21. The burger was good, fresh bun, hamburger itself very thin, it was very good, fries were nothing special for the cost. Service was quick and ordering easy which was a treat in itself.

Friendly staff and good service! Food is great and a great Poutine for this far west of Quebec.
The sitting space is small and very limited, and the parking isn’t the greatest. Even still, the food and experience was worth 5 stars to me. Their creative menu is also worth mentioning and unique selection of burgers you may have never heard of. No complaints, definitely earned my business for the future.
Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area, just be mindful of the time because there may not be any seating left, take out may be the best option!
Other items worth mentioning: parking in this area of St.Albert is fairly limited and not easily accessible for a big vehicle, so keep that in mind when you’re planning on going during the busy time of day, otherwise painless if you plan for it and enjoy a short walk.
Other amenities: there’s some cool shops in this old part of St.Albert that you could definitely kill some time window shopping. St.Albert also has some great trail systems throughout the city that also connect by the river and make for some extremely scenic walks, runs or even bike rides.

The burger report for Jack’s Burger Shack St Albert.
Jack’s Burger Shack has apparently been open for about 10 years or so and have gotten a bit of a reputation so we decided to give them a try. Please note if you are going here that they are closed between 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. so don’t make the mistake we did and come at 2:45 LOL. Once we found a parking spot at the back of the building we walked around to Jack’s and it’s a small cozy little eatery but the staff are super friendly and very informative on any questions you may have. They seem to be a licensed establishment so you can get a shot of liquor in your drink which is a nice surprise. They have a selection of burgers which did take us a little bit of time to order as we were not familiar with the menu but with help from our server we decided to try The hangover Burger and the regular burger with cheese and bacon added as well as a poutine. The meal was cooked in a timely manner and we received our food faster than we expected. The hangover Burger is basically a burger in between two grilled cheese which is pretty good but the regular burger with bacon and cheese was my favorite. The meat is a Smashburger but they grill it to a point where the meat and fat is rendered toward the edges giving it that beautiful flavor we’ve all come to love, the condiments are very fresh and they’re homemade Jack sauce had an excellent flavor with the burger, my only complaint was that I didn’t get a double Patty. The hangover Burger which is the grilled cheese themed tasted good and I can see why some people consider this their favorite. The poutine was excellent, the fresh cut fries and done to a Golden crisp and you can taste the fryer oil was fresh and the gravy is homemade and tastes amazing, many other places would use a bag gravy but not Jack’s. They’re gravy is poured over the curd cheese and being piping hot, melts the cheese right onto the french fries, who could ask for more than that? The eatery may be small but has more than a dozen chairs and a few tables if you would like to eat there. The one thing that stood out was the taste of the burgers as in the actual meat you could tell it was very fresh and, it had that crisp to it which tasted amazing and they used a larger bun not your typical sesame seed store bought bun, but an airy soft styled bun. While it is nice, it does crush down a little bit more than I would like so be ready for it, all in all it works well with their burgers. Jack’s Burger Shack is known to try different types of burgers and have let people know if they have any ideas to share with them which is pretty cool. All in all I would like to give this place a 8.6 on the Munch meter which is very good. Anything over a 8 is a place you should definitely try out. Great job guys and keep it up and thank you very much for a great meal.
