My son and I had breakfast here last Sunday. Probably the best breakfast at a restaurant/diner that we’ve ever had. The food was really delicious and the staff was friendly and attentive. This place made us feel real good. I love small town diners that serve classic breakfast foods like biscuits and gravy and Jacks is my new favorite.
Oh, and the cinnamon rolls are also incredible, just like everyone says they are.

Excellent breakfasts. All the meals are exceptional. They have take n bake which is nice if you are staying somewhere like the Vagabond resort around the corner (see that review). Clean. Super friendly staff. Reasonable prices. One of my favorite places to stop. It’s easy to get to right off US2.

A true local gem with delicious, hearty American food
I had the Northwoods Hoagie, and my husband had the Reuben sandwich with chippers. Both were delicious and generously portioned.
♀️ The servers were fabulous—so friendly and attentive.
We couldn’t pass up a slice of strawberry rhubarb pie—and we’re glad we didn’t. It was the perfect finish to a great meal.
Jack’s is a warm, welcoming spot with classic comfort food done right.

We were told they had good food and large cinnamon rolls. That was the understatement of the year. Breakfast was delicious….but that cinnamon roll…OMG! The softest, most delicious roll, and three of us couldn’t eat it all in one sitting!

I have been driving by Jack’s for years and today was the day to check it out. It was one of the most welcoming places I’ve ever gone in. We had a great lunch, the chicken noodle was perfect, our BLT and Whitefish were solid. I wish I picked the pie for dessert, the cherry walnut torte was a bit sweet for my taste. They gave me a hat when I left, I had introduced myself (my name is Jack) when I arrived. It felt like home and I can’t wait to go back!

Jack’s is one of my favorite local restaurants and a wonderful asset to the Rapid River area. I love their breakfast menu as well as their brisket menu. All of their baked goods are delicious and I was lucky enough to score a plate of their homemade Christmas cookies during Christmas time. A great place to go with amazing service if you’re looking for a delicious, well-priced meal served with a smile.

This is a must stop for the U.P.. They serve breakfast all day, almost unheard of for the area.
Every single item we tried here was ,5 stars. The food is made from quality ingredients, and the old fashioned way. This was like being back in some of my favorite deep south breakfast places.

Five stars is not enough for Jack’s!!! We stopped in for lunch and left with enough for dinner too! We had the roast beef, it was delicious. So was the stuffing and the homemade rolls, served with real butter. The service was wonderful, we were made to feel like family. We highly recommend!
