Orange crunch roll was great.
The pear pressure was interesting, I did like the refreshing bite the pear gave against the raw salmon.
Hummus where the heart is, is a vegan roll. I personally was not a fan, I thought the hummus flavor was overpowering all the other flavors of the roll.
Service was quick, we were in and out within 30 mins of ordering. Great quick bite before we caught a concert at High Noon.

This place is great!! We did takeout tonight and brought our kids. We had no idea kids eat free on Sundays and we got 2 free kids meals! The sushi was made to order, fast and yummy! Lots of options and very allergy friendly. It’s a big place with 2 areas for outdoor seating. Lots of people around and very clean. People both eating there and getting takeout. I highly recommend and we will be back!!

This is a great lunch spot for sure. The staff are great and the service is super quick. The sushi isn’t at the level of a nicer sit down, but it’s pretty darn good.
The miso soup is excellent, they have a great lunch special at a decent price, and you have to get the Angry Badger if you don’t mind a little spice.

Jacknife is an absolute game changer for sushi in Madison. The quality is five-star—on par with their upscale sister restaurant Red Sushi—and honestly unmatched anywhere else in town. Every bowl, roll, and dish is crafted perfectly: ultra-fresh fish, incredible flavor balance, generous portions, and consistently beautiful presentation. You can taste the care and precision in every bite. Amazing Ramen, too!
But it’s not just the food—this place has the best service and speed. Whether dining in, takeout, or delivery, everything is shockingly fast without sacrificing quality. The team is friendly, efficient, and on top of every detail. Ordering is insanely easy—online, in person, whatever—and your food is ready exactly when they say it will be. No waiting, super fast.
They’ve mastered dine-in, pickup, AND delivery. It’s the rare restaurant that nails all three.

The rolls and gyoza came out quickly, and the presentation was clean. The sushi itself was good for quick fare. The pear pressure roll was an interesting take on a sweeter roller. Definitely recommend if you only have 20ish minutes to grab something.

I have been searching for the best ramen in Madison and I’m pretty confident I found it! Came in for a lunch special ($16!) and ordered a bowl and roll with a 1/2 bowl of ramen and a sushi roll— I was so impressed by the quick service and the quality of the meal. The ramen broth was flavorful, the pork belly was tender, and I loved all of the other add-ins. The sushi roll was fresh and delicious! The lunch deal even came with a soup or salad. It was a good amount of food for a great price. I came off peak lunch hours and got a table easily. The atmosphere was relaxed, the restaurant clean, and the service was great. Loved all of the creative touches in the space as well! Overall, I loved the food I had here and have already come back for more. Highly recommend!

I always feel good after eating at Jacknife. Their miso soup is very flavorful, and I love that they have creative vegetarian rolls. Their new squash bowl with the crispy chili tofu is so good, I can’t stop thinking about it! And they stock my favorite sake, Snow Maiden

Delivery is super fast and you can track your order and know exactly when it’s arriving. Rolls are delicious and unique and their noodle bowls are great too. Everything seemed really fresh.
