This place is really cute and has great food. Flavors are on point, yet some dishes have a modern/American twist on the Mediterranean food. It compliments it well. You grab a menu, then go to the counter to order. Food comes out quick, and it’s a big portion size. Great area to walk as well. Highly recommend.

The Veggie Bowl and Mujadara Appetizer are my favorite along with a few other goodies as well as big in size where 2 people can eat from one order. The places is always clean & smells great. If you are in Montclair, NJ plan time to go to Jackie’s. It will not disappoint. The problem is deciding what to eat. The portions were large, the food was super fresh and the team / staff very kind, helpful and knowledgeable.
Seems like it is harder and harder to find places where employees come across as liking to work at their job. Thanks to a great team that made for a great experience.
We got three bowls but really wanted to also try their sandwiches. The hummus was SUPER good and FRESH. The fries are crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. I heard from Java Love down the street that they were great so we tried them. Fantastic choice.

A cozy fast dining cafe in Montclair serving wraps , sandwiches, and bowls as well as smoothies and breakfast foods. This was my first time visiting Montclair and won’t be my last !!
We situated ourselves at a table to look at the menu & ordered/paid at the cashier counter. I ordered the gyro platter (24$) and my friend the lamb/beef plate (22$). There were pastry goods to choose from & the fun sized baklava caught my eye (so naturally I ordered it).
The food came out so quick ! Our eyes boggled at the enormity of our dishes. The chefs gave us generous portions for each component of our meal. I had a great salad, enough tzatziki sauce to dump over my gyro and dip my crispy fries in, and huge pieces of gyro meat.
Delicious !
The waitress also came by 2 times to clear our table & make sure everything was okay. Everything was okay!

My boyfriend has been ordering this for a long time now and always telling me how amazing it is but I’m on a very restrictive diet so I never had it. Today I gave in and tried it and I was very pleased. The food was top tier!!!! I loved it so much. Everything was so fresh and very well seasoned and DEFINITELY a large enough portion!!! I’m a big foodie and I highly recommend this place!!!! Compliments to the owner & chef!

You may think this is a divey diner but, no, it is certainly not. It’s a cute and cozy spot with good food. They have a number of Mediterranean dishes which was lovely to behold. I had a side order of hummus which was clearly homemade and it was a generous portion. So much so that I had to take my tuna sandwich to go. Even the sandwich was enough for two people. The smoothies looked yummy, as I saw many customers ordering them. Next time! There about 8 small tables so it may be tough to find a seat; however I was able to get one for just me. You did need to order food at the register but they will bring your order to your table. Also everything was surprisingly affordable for upper Montclair.

Jackie’s has grown to be one of the favorite spots for sandwiches in the area. Every different thing I’ve tried has been above average and exceptionally good. The deli sandwiches are packed with great quality meat and they have many great hot sub and specialty items along many side options. They also make fresh smoothies and juices! The staff and service are also great.

I went with my sisters and my niece to grab lunch and at first we were excited,than my food came out. I saw the roast beef sandwich on the menu and asked if they made it in fresh house, he said yes I do they make it every day. My sandwich arrived and it was rancid. It tasted like the inside of a freezer. I never want to be a problem so I just wasn’t going to eat it but my sister said just let them know and get something else to go. The owner said everything was made properly by his staff and they cannot give me anything else because the staff made it correctly. I am born and raised in Montclair and I have never been to a restaurant where they do not want you to come back. He said because it was a small restaurant and they can’t take it back. He explained that if he took stuff back they would never make money. He didn’t care about satisfaction he only cared about his bottom line. Money is not an issue, and we happily paid for whatever we ordered Including the sandwich I didn’t eat. It was the way the waitress came up and said it’s made properly and we can’t replace your order you could buy something else. This is my first experience here and I usually go to Mercado across the street but wanted to try something different. Bad idea. People coming for the location not the food. Being on Valley Rd. it’s easy to get customers but I’m sure no one returns. While I was there someone else was complaining about the chicken being dry but I was still hopeful. The food is not made fresh every day and the customer service was not satisfactory. I don’t usually do refuse but I was really taking back on how it was treated here and thought people should know before going.
