This was my first in the Athens area and I really enjoyed the vibe that town has and Jackie O’s was no exception. Also the staff there were great, our server Molly was top notch and the brewer gave us a sample of their Barley wine which was scary delicious, it was too smooth for being 15%. Our food was amazing as well, I highly recommend their cheese curds and the hush puppies. I love a good Reuben sandwich so I couldn’t help myself but order the Reuben which was also outstanding. They used a different rye bread that you usually see but it was fantastic. This place was so good, I wish my hometown breweries would come here and take notes. The vibe, food, and most importantly the staff just made you want to come back. 10/10 would recommend!

A local public house, worthy of the name! Excellent beer selection (as well as non-alcoholic selection, which I appreciate), and the food was also incredible. Some of the largest, juiciest wings I’ve ever had. Love love loved the atmosphere and ambiance as well. 10/10 recommend

Very satisfying experience. The atmosphere was very much like a local pub with nice wood finished seating. The lighting was perfect. The service was top-notch. Our server was helpful with our questions and made suggestions that improved our meal. The pork rind app was unique and tasty. I ordered the blackened salmon and what a great dish this was. The others enjoyed fish and chicken sandwiches and the desserts were over the top. Thanks Addy. You made our visit memorable.

Neat spot for food and beer. Our server was very friendly and apologetic for the amount of time it took to prepare the food. Certainly a wide variety on the beer menu. Flights of 4, 6 (an Ohio flight board) and 8 available. All were very tasty. A good food menu and the fried chicken sandwich I had was very good. It is a good thing we weren’t in a hurry. We stopped on a Sunday afternoon and while business was steady, there were still seats available. It did take over an hour to get our food, which were just pub sandwiches. Again very good, just seemed a long time to wait for 2 people. Maybe caught them on a tight staffing day.

We were a table of 4 with all excellent dinners, appetizer and service! This restaurant is outstanding and makes you feel right at home. All of our fishers were loved while getting a variety of menu items.

I’ve been wanting to come here for a long time and finally made it out this way. As expected, the beers were great but I was surprised by the number of options on tap. Particularly the number of Hazy IPAs, I think they had like 8 of them so if that’s your thing definitely check them out. The real surprise for me was the quality of the food – it was delicious! As other reviewers have mentioned, you have to try the cheese curds, these things on a different level.

I went to Jackie O’s after a long 12 trip on the road hoping for some good food. I am thoughly disappointed. I ordered a pasta dish, but it was so laced with red pepper and salt that it was not edible (red pepper flakes not mentioned in pastas ingredients). It took over 30 minutes to receive this dish. I asked for a replacement, which was better, but very salty! Waiting over an hour for edible food isn’t my ideal meal. I’ll give you 2 stars, One for our server, and one for the offer of a replacement meal.

Arrived at 330pm on a Sunday and had to wait for about 5 minutes before we got seated. You need a mask to come in so grab one. Was seated and got a flight of 8. Didn’t think the flight glasses were gonna be the size they were. If I knew I would have only got 6 at the most. Beer was really good.
I got the Nashville hot chicken and it’s spicy…not too spicy but just right amount of heat. Other food items we got were the pizza, fish tacos and Ruben. All really good. Definitely a must go when your in Southern Ohio.

Definitely worth a try to come check this place out. They do have a new menu with a lot of new things to order. We got the Mushroom sandwich and the Ruben, which were both pretty good. We didn’t end up getting beer but I would recommend a flight if you come here, everyone seemed to have one lol. The service was amazing and couldn’t’t have asked for a better server, they were very knowledgeable about athens and jackie o’s in general. We also loved the atmosphere in this place, it’s just so open and welcoming.
