Great employee horrible manager. Got wrong item asked for the right item manager tried taking wrong item back and tossing it I told her I know someone who will gladly eat this and not waste it manager tried telling me she won’t make right item if I keep the wrong item. Shame on her for trying to throw food in the trash got right item from employee if it wasn’t for him I would give the worst rating possible please fire that manager on sunday march 1st 10am it’s disgusting there are people that would rather toss food in the trash someone else would atleast eat and not waste!!!

I can’t believe that I am writing a review for Jack-in-the-Box, of all places! I have gotten out of the habit of fast food joints, particularly the large chains, and even more particularly the semi substandard burger places. But you know, it was late and I was just too tired to get out of the car, and I thought, what the heck? And besides for many years when I was a security officer over at Salmon Creek, I used to come here on a regular basis. I also weighed 80 pounds more.
So I’ll tell you, driving into Jack-in-the-Box was a powerful dose of nostalgia for me, it took me back, probably 16 or 17 years. I have to remember, that it wasn’t particularly good then, and it’s not particularly good now. I got the buttery something burger because it looks good on the poster, forgetting for a moment, nothing ever looks like it is in the poster.
It was a sloppy, greasy, unappetizing mess. The taste was not particularly bad, but it was not particularly good either. I felt like I had been slimed, like Ghostbusters being slimed by pure evil. It was so oily, the paper was soaked, the bun was saturated, even honoring the nostalgia, it was… Disgusting.
I also got the two tacos which in the ensuing years has gone from $.99 up to $1.69, making it still one of the cheapest things on the menu. Now I will say about the tacos that there is something special and unique about them. They certainly don’t taste like tacos, and they are a greasy mess as well, but they represent a guilty pleasure. They they are something crunchy and savory and somehow satisfying, even while being not particularly good.
I have always had a soft spot in my heart for the Jack-in-the-Box taco, although I doubt that I will ever have one again. It’s one of those things, where they are so bad that they are good.
Even flavored as it was with nostalgia, I’m afraid Jack-in-the-Box is kind of a write off. I can’t believe I ate these things for so many years or that my standards were so low. Maybe in my memory they were better. Or maybe something has changed and they really were better back when I was fighting with patients on a regular basis or patrolling the grounds, searching for miscreants.
It will forever be a kind of icon for those years of craziness and struggle. I can’t believe I stayed in the job so long and I can’t believe I ate Jack-in-the-Box on such a regular basis.
In recent times, I’ve been trying to eat at more local places, Mom and Pop shops.
Places that are more integrated into the community, where I can meet the owners, and share a little bit of their dreams. There is a saying that you can’t go back and I’m afraid that in regards to places like Jack-in-the-Box that is true.
It was an interesting experience, but one that I don’t think I’ll repeat.
None of this, is stuff that you don’t already know. All of us, understand what fast food is, what it does to us, and how many so much better places exist.
I can rant, and yell from the hilltops and the church steeples that my brothers and sisters Should find elsewhere to explore their culinary delights and should spend their money on smaller, much better, and much more connected to the community places…
But I know, that nothing I say will really make any difference. If you eat it places like Jack-in-the-Box, you will continue to eat at places like Jack-in-the-Box.
Just remember, oh Pilgrim, that there are so many better places out there and often for the same amount of money or even cheaper.

Most disgusting food!!! First the diet coke was regular mixed with water. I asked after taking a sip if it was diet and she said yes. LIE!! Second the food tasted so old and freezer burned. It’s like everything was sucked dry of any moisture. I bought two different breakfast sandwiches and the eggs on both were cooked weird the bacon was like chewing flavored paper and the American cheese slices picked off in pieces. Stay away from this pathetic place. WASTE WASTE WASTE OF MONEY!!!

I love Jack in the Box. That said, I was not happy with this place on September 4/5. We had 6 people that all wanted something different but I convinced them to keep the order super simple as it was late and a drive threw order. We ordered double burger meals and only received single on all 6 burgers. The guy taking the order had an attitude when we asked a few questions. We came after a concert and the line was busy, but that doesn’t give them an excuse to be rude or to screw up our order when we kept it so simple. The food was good, but my group was very disappointed and wanted me to write this review.

I ordered the grilled and crispy chicken wrap with extra pickles and I got a soggy cheesy wrap with jalapeños. Did not even get to eat it..

Are there people here that can’t read? If I order two sandwiches and 1 is no onion, then why would you apply no onion to both. Is it carelessness or illiteracy? 1 star because I actually like onions on my burger and you deprived me of that. Also the grease for the chicken was old. Should have been replaced a while back.

If I could give a more negative review, I would. I was there the evening of 10/28/22. I ordered the breakfast platter with bacon and Supreme bacon croissant. When I got home and opened up the platter I was shocked at what I saw. SEE PIC. the eggs were over done and like rubber. The hash brown wasn’t even edible it was so hard and rubbery. There was 1 piece of bacon curled under the hash brown. And the croissant was just as bad. It wasn’t even wrapped in the paper. The wrapper had 1 fold over it!!! The food (and I use that term loosely) was Disgusting!!!!

I just went through the drive-up in salmon creek. This is absolutely the rudest place I have ever been to. The staff here is incompetent and then yells at us. We asked for large drinks with both meals, 4 times, and they still didn’t get it right. They made us sit at the speaker for over 6 minutes before then abruptly “greeting” us with “what you want?”. When we asked for our receipt, we were blatantly ignored, they did not get our drinks right, and they were gossiping about us in the back. Just because it’s in another language doesn’t mean people can’t understand it! This was absolutely disgusting behavior. Then after they shoved our food at us, they slammed the window so hard that it rattled everything. And we still did not get a receipt so we have no way of knowing what they charged us for.

The women who work here are completely rude and nosy. I bring my boyfriend to work and anytime I order something and they know it’s for me they purposefully make the wrong order. I brought him something he needed to his work today and one of the ladies who’s Mexican with blonde highlights in her hair just stood by the window, listened to our entire conversation like it was any of her business and stared at me with the dirtiest look I’ve ever seen. Didn’t move, walk away or anything. Most of them don’t even speak English so it’s beyond me why she would just stand there. Apparently she’s the boss as well which is even more embarrassing for her. It also happens every time I pick him up for work. It’s really creepy and uncomfortable. Treating customers and ur teams family members like this is completely disgusting, disrespectful and totally concerning. Gotta give this place a low rating for everything I’ve experienced with them since March. Very uncomfortable environment and atmosphere for customers. And by the looks of other past reviews I think a lot of ppl can agree that unprofessionalism lack of respect and rudeness is a reoccurring issue that no one in higher positions is even batting an eye at or trying to fix at all. But my boyfriend NICK does an amazing job managing ppl like that. I hope she doesn’t treat all the costumers like this. I don’t even know her name.
